Topic:	Installing BIOS upgrade to 1.00.02.AX1P on an Ambra 90 MHz PCI

Author:	Peter Gyorffy	Date Last Modified:	08-19-94
Category(s):	BIOS, Conflicts, PCI Bus

Models:	DP90PCI (Desktop PCI), TP90PCI (Tower PCI)

Problem:	Conflicts occur on P90PCI machine when using more than one PCI Card
Detailed Description:	Intel made some changes to the PCI specification
AFTER the initial release of the Ambra 90 MHz Pentium PCI Models. These
changes affect the way that the "Plug & Play" aspect of PCI cards
negiotate with one another.

The most notable card affected by this change is the Adaptec 2940
PCI SCSI Host Adapter. Adaptec will tell all customers who contact them
that this card will require a BIOS update to function properly.

Note that the BIOS update as released is known to fix ONLY problems with
PCI Bus cards. If a customer has only the PCI video card in the system and
all other cards are ISA, the BIOS update will have no effect on the system
or any problems that it is experiencing.

Solution:	BIOS update to 1.00.02.AX1P - 90PCI02.ZIP on the Ambra BBS
