
            Installation of the Video Drivers for Windows 3.1:
            --------------------------------------------------


1)  From the Root Directory (C:\), Enter MD WIN3_1VD to make a sub-directory
    named WIN3_1VD.

2)  From the Root Directory (C:\), Enter CD\WIN3_1VD to change to the 
    sub-directory WIN3_1VD.

3)  Insert the Upgrade Video Drivers Diskette into Diskette Drive A:.

4)  From the C:\WIN3_1VD sub-directory, Enter COPY A:WIN3_1VD.EXE to copy  
    the Self-Extracting Video Drivers file.

5)  Enter WIN3_1VD -D to self-extract the Video Drivers and build the 
    associated sub-directories.

6)  Change to the WINDOWS sub-directory.

7)  From the WINDOWS sub-directory, Enter WIN to start Windows 3.1.

8)  Select FILE.

9)  Select RUN...

10) Enter C:\WIN3_1VD\INSTALL under Command Line to install the Set
    Resolution (SetRes) Utility.

11) Enter C:\WINDOWS as "The path to your Windows".

12) After the SetRes Utility has successfully loaded, Exit Windows 3.1.

13) From the WINDOWS sub-directory, Enter SETUP to invoke the Windows 3.1
    Setup Utility.

14) Using the UP ARROW key to move the highlight, select "Display" option.

15) Using the DOWN ARROW key to move the highlight, select "Other" option. 

16) Enter the following path:  C:\WIN3_1VD\ (sub-directory containing 
    the Video Drivers).

17) Using the UP/DOWN ARROW key to move the highlight, select the desired 
    Video Driver.

18) Select "Complete Changes" option.

19) Enter the following path: C:\WIN3_1VD\ (DO NOT "Insert the Cirrus Logic
    GD542x Windows 3.x Fonts Diskette").

20) Start Windows 3.1.


    NOTE:  To change Video Resolution/Font Size/Colors, run SetRes 
           (Set Resolution) under Windows 3.1.
