        LPT_TEST.COM Version 0.2
        ============                                     (September 1998)

This utility is designed to check wether your parallel ports
support the bidirectional data transfer mode. PalmZIP runs
a similar test to determine the correct mode of operation.
Depending on the type of your PC (PC or AT), the behaviour
of the parallel port(s) may be influenced by some settings
in the BIOS-Setup or a setup utility supplied by the manu-
        facturer.

        Example output of LPT_TEST:

            LPT_TEST 0.2 (c) 1998 by Klaus Peichl
            ---------------------------------------
            Parallel port info utility.

            Parallel port: LPT1
            Port address: 0378
            Readback after output: OK
            Bidirectional capability: OK, Input=Low!

            Parallel port: LPT2
            Port address: 0278
            Readback after output: OK
            Bidirectional capability: Failed.

In this cace, palmZIP would use the bidirectional mode only
if the Zip-drive was connected to LPT1.
However, palmZIP accepts command line parameters to force the
transfer mode you specify (see PALMZIP.TXT).
