Diamond Stealth II Series Windows 95 Drivers with InControl Tools 95
======================================================================

Release Notes
-----------------
This is the Diamond Stealth II Series Windows 95 Display Drivers with
InControl Tools 95.

Installation Notes
------------------
These drivers require the latest version of DirectX 5 to support Direct
Draw and Direct3D applications.

Installing mini-GL support
--------------------------

Note: (We have found that most GL games work great with this mini-GL driver,
however, there may be applications that will exhibit some sort of instability.
If you encounter problems with applications that utilize the mini-GL driver,
we ask that you fill out a Problem Description Report (PDR.txt) located at:
ftp://ftp.diamondmm.com/pub/misc/pdr.txt )

This version of the Stealth II S220 Windows 95 drivers includes a mini-GL
driver. To activate mini-GL support, follow the below steps:

1. From Windows 95, select Start, then select Shut Down, then select "Restart
    the computer in MS-DOS mode."

2. Switch to the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory by typing:

        cd \windows\system

If you have Windows 95 installed into a different directory, modify the
    above as appropriate.

3. If you are using Windows 95 build 950 (retail version of Windows 95), skip
to step 4. Otherwise, there is a file in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM called
OPENGL32.DLL. Rename this file to OPENGL32.BAK by typing:

        ren opengl32.dll opengl32.bak

4. There is a file in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM called V2KSIIGL.DLL. Rename this file
    to OPENGL32.DLL by typing:

        ren v2ksiigl.dll opengl32.dll

5. Reboot your system. The Stealth II S220 mini-GL driver will be active.

Removing mini-GL support
------------------------
If you have installed the mini-GL support for the Stealth II S220 and need
to remove it, follow the below steps:

3. There is a file in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM called OPENGL32.DLL. Rename this file
    to V2KSIIGL.DLL by typing:

        ren opengl32.dll v2ksiigl.dll

4. If you are using Windows 95 build 950 (retail version of Windows 95), skip
to step 5. Otherwise, there is a file in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM called
OPENGL32.BAK. Rename this file to OPENGL32.DLL by typing:

        ren opengl32.bak opengl32.dll

5. Reboot your system. The Stealth II S220 mini-GL driver will be inactive.

Issues Addressed
----------------

1. When using an Unknown Monitor monitor type, the default refresh rate is
    60Hz.

2. Addressed error in Winstone/Winbench 98 at 32bpp.

3. Some monitors were not displaying properly at 640x480 with 85Hz vertical
refresh rate. This has been addressed.

Known Limitations
------------------
1. OpenGL screen savers will cause a General Protection fault with the Stealth II
    MiniGL driver installed.

2. DirectX5 loses dialog focus with the Front-end during DirectX5
installation, thus the Front-end covers up DirectX5 dialog. Use the
Alt-Tab key combinations to change the focus and select the OK button
to complete the installation of the drivers.

3. DTV 2000 will only display at 640x480.
