Reducing Flicker With Your VR Glasses
-------------------------------------
RENUTIL has been included to aid in reducing flicker for your VR glasses.
The largest factor in reducing flicker is the monitor's vertical refresh
rate. By using RENUTIL before loading the game or adding RENUTIL in R
ENWHIP.BAT, you can increase the vertical refresh rate and reduce flicker.
No flicker is visible at rates above 100Hz.

WARNING
-------
SETTING A VERTICAL REFRESH RATE HIGHER THAN YOUR MONITOR CAN HANDLE MAY
CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR MONITOR. DO NOT SET THE VERTICAL REFRESH
RATE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ YOUR MONITOR'S SPECIFICATIONS.*

Editing RENWHIP.BAT
-------------------
Locate the file "RENWHIP.BAT". It should be located in your whiplash
directory. Load this file into a text editor, such as Notepad in
Windows 95 or "edit" in MS-DOS. This can also be done in Windows 95
by right clicking on RENWHIP.BAT and selecting edit.

In the second line of RENWHIP.BAT type
	RENUTIL [#] [type]

[#] is the Control Number (refer to chart below).

[type] is the VGA mode 13 type.
Use 0 for normal VGA.
Use 1 for Fast32 VGA (this is the default).
Use 2 for VESA non-VGA. (should work if your video card is VESA-compliant).

Example: At a horizontal refresh rate of 49.1k, if your monitor
supports all the resolutions and vertical refresh rates listed for
Control Number 8, you can use 640x480 resolution with a vertical refresh
rate of 85Hz and Fast32 VGA by typing:
	RENUTIL 8 1
