OS/2 MOZART SOUND SYSTEM DRIVER INSTALLATION PROCEDURES


************  OS/2 Audio Driver Installation  ****************


To install OS/2 Mozart Sound System drivers, insert the
driver diskette into the floppy drive.	Either

1. In any OS/2 window, type in: C:\MMOS2\MINSTALL , or

2. Double click the icon MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION INSTALL
   in the MULTIMEDIA FOLDER under the system desktop.

An Install dialog box will show up on your screen.  Set
the Source drive to the floppy drive that has the Mozart
Installation diskette and follow the instructions on the
screen.



*************  Win-OS/2 Audio Driver Installation  ************


To install Mozart Win-OS/2 drivers:

1. Start WIN-OS/2, under Program Manager, select FILE, RUN...
2. Type in A:\MZTSETUP.EXE (or B:)
3. Reboot WIN-OS/2 session after it is done.



******************  IDE CD-ROM Installation  *******************


If your Mozart card has an IDE CD-ROM interface and you
want to connect your CD-ROM interface to Mozart, make sure
your OS/2 Warp release version is 8.200 or above.  To check
the release version, open an OS/2 Window and type in:

    C:\VER /R

S506.ADD is an OS/2 base device driver to support OS/2 using
Mozart 601F secondary IDE port . There are two ways you can
install this base device driver.


If you have already installed OS/2 Warp:

1. Copy this device driver to root or \OS2\BOOT directory.

2. Edit the following line in the beginning of CONFIG.SYS
   in the root directory of your OS/2 drive:

		BASEDEV=S506.ADD

3. Do Selective Installation in System Setup group.

4. Choose CDROM icon and Select CDROM type
   (Non_List_ATAPI_CDROM, if standard ATAPI CDROM).
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


If you have not yet installed OS/2 Warp onto your system:

1. Make back up of the OS/2 Installation diskettes (2 disks)

2. Copy S506.ADD on the second Installation disk.

3. Edit the following line in the beginning of CONFIG.SYS
   located on the second installation diskette.

		BASEDEV=S506.ADD

4. Begin OS/2 installation.


