1 - SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
    =====================

1 - In the Program Manager, menu option File-Run, start the program
Setup from your floppy drive (e.g. A:).

2 - You will get a screen from InstallShield and a Welcome window.
	Click on Next.

3 -	Setup will propose "C:\REALmagic" as a default
directory. Click "Next" to accept or type your preferred name.

4 -	Setup will propose a name for the folder "REALmagic
NetStream 1". Click on "Next" to accept or type your preferred
        name.

5 -	Setup will start copying the files to the different
directories. It will also prompt you for the second diskette.
See list of copied files at end of this file.

6 -	After copying, you get an "information" window informing you
that this portion of Setup is done. You need still to define
	the resources. Click OK.

7 -	You will see the new folder for "REALmagic NetStream 1". The
        Resource Management program will start.

8 -	Choose at the right side the IRQ, DMA, and Port that are free.
For the port, you can click the down arrow to see the possible
choices. Also click the "Load at boot" if you wish so. If you
don't, you MUST type "net start rmmoka" at the command prompt
	after NT has finished booting.

9 -	Click OK for the message "You must restart Windows to have
	changes take effect".

10- If the drivers do not load, find the error message reported
by the driver. This message will be displayed if you manually
started the driver (with "net start rmmoka"), or it will be in
the event viewer (with the "Load at boot" option).

Error message Cause
------------- -----
Invalid Address There is some kind of resource conflict.
Verify that the IRQ, DMA, and IO chosen are
			not in use.

Internal Inconsistency A DMA Buffer could not be allocated. Try
using the driver in the \extra directory on
the disk. Note that using DMA will usually
			result in "smoother multitasking".

Device Not Ready The board could not be found at the specifed
address. Try choosing another address, then
restart the computer by powering off/on.
Usually, the case is that the IO address is
already being used, but not reported or that
the board is not in the computer!

NOTE : To uninstall, double click on the "Uninstaller" icon from the
REALmagic NetStream 1 group. This will delete all specific
files and will remove the group.

NOTE : In dual booting systems (such as Win 9x and NT), if you
install NetStream 1 under both platforms, avoid using the
same name for the REALmagic software directory.

2 - BORDER ADJUSTMENT AND COLOR CALIBRATION
    =======================================

1 -	After rebooting, start "REALmagic Configuration".

2 - Use the arrow keys to align the MPEG window on top of the
white window, making sure that it covers the black borders
	of the white window.

3 -	To change the width of the MPEG to match the width of the
white window, press the Left or Right arrow and then the
+/- keys to adjust the width. Click OK.

4 -	Select "Key Color". At the bottom of the new window choose
the key color preferred. It is a medium green by default.

5 -	Use the "W" and "L" keys of the "R", "G", and "B" groups
(red, green, blue) in a way to show MPEG on the border while
minimizing the hole in the middle colored area.

NOTE : You must set the Border Adjustment and Color Calibration
settings to finalize the installation. You need to set the
Border Adjustment and Color Calibration only once for each
display settings (resolution, number of colors, and refresh
        rate) under Windows.

3 - REALmagic MIXER
    ===============

Besides the volume adjustment for the MPEG audio signal, the RM Mixer
has got three additional TV set-like faders for the following :

	- Fader "B" for Brightness Control
	- Fader "C" for Contrast Control
	- Fader "S" for Saturation Control

You can adjust these faders while playing an MPEG file for a better
control of your setting.

5 - MCI Commands NOT supported
    ==========================

         OpenMPEG MCI commands:

           - open VideoCD
           - open type VideoCD
           - step by <keyframe> key
           - step key

6 - MISCELLANEOUS
    =============

  - The driver can be invoked by the programs with the following
names : Reelmagic, MpegVideo, or "REALmagic Moka".

  - SUPPORT for MMIO functions to read data out of a hard drive (not
when reading out of a CD-ROM). Therefore, you can use your own
installed I/O procedure (see mmioOpen function and MMIOProc
callback description for further details) to perform bufferized
     or device specific I/O.

  - See the file APP_NOTE.DOC on disk 2 for some specifics on MMIO
     functions.

  - MCI driver supports MCIWnd Class programming API.

  - The enclosed Mixer is only to control the current MPEG file.
If you wish more control, your application should take care
of that with the MCI commands.

  - The administrator and any user who has the right to modify the
Registry are the only people who can install the drivers. They
are also the only people to change the "Load at Boot" check box
(even though others, such as guests, might change it but it will
get reset at booting time). The guests are able to run the
drivers in "Load at Boot" mode only ( they cannot use the "net
     start rmmoka").

  - The ActiveMovie filter AMFILTER.DLL is part of build 100 with
a fix to adjust the Aspect Ratio during ActiveMovie playback.
