                                AUTO-REDIAL

  Description:   Controls auto-redial.

    Command                              Function

   $D0          Auto-redial disabled.

      $D1        Auto-redial enabled, if remote is busy will try up to n
                 times.

                                BUFFER SIZE

  Type:          Configuration

  Example:       AT $B0<CR>

  Description:   Selects the modems transmit/receive buffer size.

      $B0        Normal buffer size.

      $B1        Small buffer size.

                            BREAK LENGTH (LAPM)

  Example:       ATS34=20<CR>

  Default:       35

  Range:         1-255

  Unit:          .1 second.

  Description:   Sets the length of breaks for LAPM protocol.

                          CALLBACK SECURITY LEVEL

  Type:                Configuration

  Format:              AT [cmds] $Yn [cmds]

  Example:             AT $Y1 S0=1<CR>

  Description:         Sets the security level of the callback function.

       Command                              Function

         $Y0           Callback security disabled.

         $Y1           Enables CB1; Set password for 10 users; Modem
                       prompt caller for password and a number (0-9).
                       Modem disconnects, correct password initiates call
                       back.

         $Y2           Enables CB2; Set password for any user; Modem
                       prompt caller for password and complete phone
                       number. Modem disconnects, correct password
                       initiates call back.

         $Y3           Enables CB3; Set password for 10 individual users;
                       Modem prompt caller for their password. Modem
                       disconnects, correct password initiates call back
                       for their phone number.

         $Y4           Enables caller filter without call back. Set
                       password for any user; Modem prompt caller for
                       password, correct password modem stays on-line,
                       not password modem disconnects.

                             CHARACTER LENGTH

  Example:       AT $L3<CR>

  Description:   Sets length of character.

    Command                              Function

      $L0        8 bits per character.

      $L1        9 bits per character.

   $L2          10 bits per character.

      $L3        11 bits per character.

                                COMPRESSION

  Description:   Selects data compression.

  Description:   Selects active error-correction protocols.

      $F3        Hardware DTR/DSR flow control enabled.

   $F4          Hardware CTS/RTS flow control enabled.

      $F5        Flow control disabled.

      $F6        modem translates XON/XOFF received from line to CTS.

                     FLOW CONTROL IN SPEED CONVERSION

  Type:          Configuration

  Example:       AT $M1 &W<CR>

  Description:   Controls DCE-to-DCE flow in speed conversion.

    Command                              Function

   $M0          DCE-to-DCE flow in speed conversion disabled,
                 (XON/XOFF).

      $M1        DCE-to-DCE flow in speed conversion enabled, (XON/XOFF).

                              HOLD HOOK TIME

  Type:          Register

  Example:       ATS30=6<CR>

  Default:       0

  Range:         0-255

  Unit:          1 second.

  Description:   Sets hold hook time for lease line mode.

                              IDENTIFICATION

  Type:          Immediate

  Example:       AT I3 &W<CR>

  Description:   Displays several options.

       I1        Display software version.

       I2        Show OK twice.

                     LEASED LINE BACKUP RECOVERY DELAY

  Example:       ATS33=10<CR>

  Default:       60

  Range:         0-255

  Unit:          1 minute.

  Description:   After leased line failure, modem attempts to reconnect
                 after specified delay.

                                 PASSWORD

  Type:          Immediate

  Format:        AT [cmds] $Pn [cmds]

  Example:       AT $P12 &W<CR>

  Description:   Controls password.

    Command                              Function

      $Pn        Change password for call back 3, for stored n phone
                 number (0<n>9).

      $P10       Change password for remote configuration.

      $P11       Change password for call back 1.

      $P12       Change password for call back 2.

      $P13       Change password for call filter.

                 dialed.

                           REMOTE CONFIGURATION

  Example:       AT $R0 &W<CR>

  Description:   Controls remote configuration.

   $R0          Remote configuration disabled.

      $R1        Remote configuration enabled.

                              RETRAIN OPTION

  Type:          Configuration

  Description:   Selects retraining option.

   &E0          Disconnect after 4 retrain attempts during 3 minute
                 period.

      &E1        Disconnect after 4 retrain attempts during 4 minute
                 period.

      &E2        Disconnect after 4 retrain attempts during 5 minute
                 period.

      &E3        Retrain action always enabled.

      &E4        Retrain action disabled.

                     SWITCHED LINE TRANSMISSION LEVEL

  Type:          Configuration

  Format:        AT [cmds] $Tn [cmds]

  Example:       AT $T12<CR>

  Default:       12

  Range:         0 - 15

  Unit:          -1 dBm.

  Description:   Sets the signal level for transmission when in switched
                 line mode.

                               V.34 PROTOCOL

  Type:          Configuration

  Format:        AT [cmds] $Vn [cmds]

  Example:       AT $V1 <CR>

  Description:   Controls V.34 protocol.

      $V0        V.34 protocol disabled.

                          V.42 DETECTION OPTIONS

  Description:   Controls detection phase.
