                         COMMAND SET - MICROCOM SX

  Description:           Switches to the proprietary Microcom SX command
                         set. The modem will prompt the user to confirm
                         this action.

                     DATA CARRIER DETECT (DCD) SIGNAL

  Type:          Configuration

  Format:        AT [cmds] &Cn [cmds]

  Description:   Controls the behaviour of the DCD signal.

           DATA SET READY (DSR) AND CLEAR TO SEND (CTS) SIGNALS

  Description:           Controls the behaviour of the DSR and CTS
                         signals.

          \D1            CTS follows CD. If &C is not set to 1 then DSR

  Description:           Dials telephone number according to any
                         modifiers included in the string

  Note:                  Any combination of modifiers can be used to
                         produce the desired dial functions in sequence.

                         attempt to dial stored number n.

           DP            Pulse dialing enabled.

                         waits until a "quiet answer," a ring-back signal
                         followed by silence up to the time specified in

                         the dial string.

                        RING INDICATOR (RI) SIGNAL

  Type:            Configuration

  Description:     Selects when the RI signal will be cleared from an
                   incoming call.

                          STORE TELEPHONE NUMBER

                         be stored as a comment and will not be passed to

                        when receiving a break of over 500ms.

          SD1           Modem goes to command mode when DTR goes low.

          SD2           Modem disconnects when DTR goes low and waits for
                        the user to enter the characters "4 5" to
                        configure the speed and parity of the serial
                        port.

          SD3           Modem is initialized when DTR goes low and waits
                        for the user to enter the characters "4 5" to
                        configure the speed and parity of the serial
                        port.

                    MAXIMUM BLOCK SIZE FOR TRANSMISSION

  Description:   Sets the maximum transmittable block size in MNP mode.

      BLK0       MNP block size is 64 characters.

                          MNP - STREAM/BLOCK MODE

  Description:    Controls the behaviour of the CTS and RTS signals.

  Note:           This command only functions in synchronous mode.

                           REPORT IDENTIFICATION

  Description:   Reports the product code and firmware revision.

                        RING INDICATOR (RI) SIGNAL

  Description:     Selects when the RI signal will be cleared from an
                   incoming call.

       S1R0        RI signal not cleared until the call has disconnected.

       S1R1        RI signal cleared when call is answered.

                            SERIAL DATA FORMAT

  Description:   Sets the word size and parity of the serial port.

                                SOFT RESET

                               SPEAKER MODE
