                           ANSWER/ORIGINATE MODE

  Type:              Register

  Format:            AT [cmds] <>n [cmds]

  Description:       Selects whether the modem answers calls in answer or
                     originate mode.

      Command                              Function

       S100=0         Modem answers calls in answer mode and originates
                      calls in originate mode.

       S100=1         Modem answers calls in originate mode and
                      originates calls in answer mode.

                                 AT PREFIX

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S63=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the AT prefix is required in
                         command mode.

        Command                              Function

         S63=0            AT prefix not required. All characters entered
                          in command mode will be assumed to be commands.

         S63=1            AT prefix required for command mode.

                               AUTO-CONNECT

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S101=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will attempt to
                         connect automatically when no carrier is
                         detected even when no call has been made or
                         received.

        Command                              Function

         S101=0          Modem does not attempt to auto-connect.

         S101=1          Modem attempts to connect in answer mode every
                         20 seconds.

         S101=2          Modem attempts to connect in originate mode
                         every 20 seconds.

         S101=3          Modem attempts to connect in answer mode
                         immediately after carrier is lost, then pauses
                         20 seconds before retrying.

         S101=4          Modem attempts to connect in originate mode
                         immediately after carrier is lost, then pauses
                         20 seconds before retrying.

                        BITS PER CHANNEL - TRANSMIT

  Type:                  Read-only

  Description:           Displays the number of bits assigned to each of
                         the 511 transmit channels of a PEP mode
                         connection.

                        BITS PER CHANNEL - RECEIVE

  Description:           Displays the number of bits assigned to each of
                         the 511 receive channels of a PEP mode
                         connection.

                               BREAK LENGTH

                                COMPRESSION

  Type:                Register

  Description:         Selects whether the modem will use data
                       compression when connected in PEP mode.

       S110=0          Compression disabled.

       S110=1          Compression enabled if remote modem has
                       compression enabled.

      S110=255         Compression enabled if remote modem has S110 set
                       to 1.

                               CONNECT MODE

  Type:                 Register

  Description:          Selects the type of non-PEP MNP mode connection
                        that the modem will attempt to make.

        Command                             Function

         S95=0          Normal mode connection only.

         S95=1          MNP reliable mode connection only.

         S95=2          MNP auto-reliable mode connection.

                                CTS SIGNAL

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S67=n [cmds]

  Description:           Controls the behaviour of the CTS signal.

        Command                              Function

         S67=0           CTS is forced high.

         S67=1           CTS forced high 200 mS after RTS and CD go high.
                         If RTS or CD is low, CTS is forced low.

                           CURRENT RECEIVE RATE

  Type:                   Read-only

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S72? [cmds]

  Description:            Displays the number of bits per second that the
                          data line is carrying from the remote modem at
                          that moment.

  Note:                   This command is only valid in PEP mode.

                         CURRENT TRANSMISSION RATE

  Type:                   Read-only

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S70? [cmds]

  Description:            Displays the number of bits per second that the
                          data line is carrying to the remote modem at
                          that moment.

  Note:                   This command is only valid in PEP mode.

                                DATA FORMAT

  Description:   Sets the format for the modem-to-DTE serial interface.

     S60=0        Use 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit.

                            DCD AND DSR SIGNALS

  Type:            Register

  Format:          AT [cmds] S53=n [cmds]

  Description:     Controls the behaviour of the DSR and CD signals.

     Command                              Function

      S53=0         DSR forced high when modem is idle, CD forced high.

      S53=1         DSR forced high when modem is idle, CD is normal.

      S53=2         DSR follows CD, CD normal.

      S53=3         DSR and CD normal.

      S53=4         DSR forced high when idle and forced low on
                    disconnect, CD normal.

                                   DIAL

  Type:                  Immediate

  Format:                AT [cmds] D<#> [cmds]

  Description:           Dials the telephone number indicated according
                         to any modifiers included in the string.

  Note:                  Any combination of modifiers can be used to
                         produce the desired dial functions in sequence.

        Command                              Function

           DP            Pulse dialing enabled.

           DR            Answer mode enabled; originate mode disabled
                         following handshake initiation.

          DNn            Dial stored telephone number n.

           DT            Tone dialing enabled.

           DW            Dialing resumed following dial tone detection.

           D,            Dialing paused for amount of time specified in
                         S8 register.

           D!            Flash function initiated. Modem commanded to go
                         off-hook for specified time before returning
                         on-hook.

           D;            Modem returned to idle state after dialing. The
                         semicolon can only be placed at the end of the
                         dial command.

          D\x\           Dials the stored telephone number with
                         description x.

                              DIAL INTERRUPT

  Type:                   Register

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S64=n [cmds]

  Description:            Selects whether the modem will abort a dial,
                          answer, or connect sequence if characters are
                          received from the DTE.

        Command                              Function

         S64=0            Sequence aborted.

         S64=1            Sequence not aborted.

                           DISPLAY CONFIGURATION

  Type:          Immediate

  Format:        AT [cmds] &Nn [cmds]

  Description:   Displays the configuration stored in non-volatile RAM.

                          DSR DELAY ON DISCONNECT

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S47=n [cmds]

  Default:       4

  Range:         0 - 255

  Unit:          50 mS

  Description:   Sets the time that DSR is forced low after disconnect.

                                DTR DIALING

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S104=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will auto-dial the
                         first stored number on DTR signal changes.

        Command                              Function

         S104=0          DTR dialing disabled.

         S104=1          Modem auto-dials first stored number on
                         low-to-high DTR change.

         S104=2          Automatically dial first stored number whenever
                         no call is connected and DTR signal is high.

                                DTR SIGNAL

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S52=n [cmds]

  Description:   Controls the modems response to the DTR signal.

    Command                              Function

     S52=0        Modem assumes DTR is forced high.

     S52=1        Modem goes idle on low DTR.

     S52=2        Modem is reset on low DTR.

                       ECHO SUPPRESSOR COMPENSATION

  Type:                Register

  Format:              AT [cmds] S121=n [cmds]

  Description:         Selects whether the modem will compensate for echo
                       suppressors.

  Note:                Enabling the echo suppressor compensator reduces
                       throughput by about five percent.

       Command                              Function

        S121=0          Echo suppressor compensator disabled.

        S121=1          Echo suppressor compensator enabled.

                             EIGHTH BIT FILTER

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S48=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the high bit of a character is
                         cleared before detection of XON, XOFF and escape
                         characters.

        Command                              Function

         S48=0            Eighth bit is cleared.

         S48=1            Eighth bit is not cleared.

                         ESCAPE SEQUENCE RESPONSE

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S55=n [cmds]

  Description:           Configures the modems reaction to an escape
                         sequence.

        Command                              Function

         S55=0           Modem returns to command mode after set guard
                         time has passed and escape characters sent to
                         remote modem.

         S55=1           Buffers are cleared and escape characters sent
                         to remote modem.

         S55=2           Escape characters sent to remote modem
                         immediately.

         S55=3           Escape characters sent with transmitted data.

                       FLOW CONTROL CHARACTER - XOFF

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S57=n [cmds]

  Default:       19

  Range:         0 - 255

  Unit:          ASCII

  Description:   Sets the character used to represent the XOFF character.

                       FLOW CONTROL CHARACTER - XON

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S56=n [cmds]

  Default:       17

  Range:         0 - 255

  Unit:          ASCII

  Description:   Sets the character used to represent the XON character.

                          FLOW CONTROL TYPE - DCE

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S68=n [cmds]

  Description:           Sets type of flow control used by the modem.

        Command                              Function

         S68=0           Flow control disabled.

         S68=2           Unidirectional RTS flow control enabled.

         S68=3           Bidirectional XON/XOFF flow control enabled.

         S68=4           Bidirectional XON/XOFF and RTS/CTS enabled.

         S68=5           Bidirectional ENQ/ACK flow control enabled.

         S68=6           Bidirectional XON/XOFF and ENQ/ACK flow control
                         enabled.

        S68=255          Flow control specified in S58 is used. If S58 is
                         set to 1, then DCE flow control is disabled.

                          FLOW CONTROL TYPE - DTE

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S58=n [cmds]

  Description:   Sets type of flow control used by the DTE.

    Command                              Function

     S58=0       Flow control disabled.

     S58=1       Bidirectional RTS/CTS flow control enabled.

     S58=2       Unidirectional RTS flow control enabled.

     S58=3       Bidirectional XON/XOFF flow control enabled.

     S58=4       Bidirectional XON/XOFF and RTS/CTS enabled.

     S58=5       Bidirectional ENQ/ACK flow control enabled.

     S58=6       Bidirectional XON/XOFF and ENQ/ACK flow control enabled.

                             FREQUENCY OFFSET

  Type:          Read-only

  Format:        AT [cmds] S77? [cmds]

  Description:   Displays the frequency offset for the current
                 connection.

                                GUARD TONE

  Type:            Register

  Format:          AT [cmds] S91=n [cmds]

  Description:     Commands the modem to transmit a guard tone in
                   V.22/V.22bis mode.

     Command                              Function

      S91=0        Guard tone disabled.

      S91=1        1800Hz guard tone enabled.

      S91=2        550Hz guard tone enabled.

                           KERMIT MARK CHARACTER

  Type:                   Register

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S112=n [cmds]

  Default:                1

  Range:                  0 - 127

  Unit:                   1 ASCII character

  Description:            Sets the character that will be used as the
                          beginning of packet marker when in Kermit
                          protocol mode.

                                LINE NOISE

  Type:                 Read-only

  Format:               AT [cmds] S76? [cmds]

  Description:          Displays the line noise level for each of the 511
                        channels of a PEP mode connection.

                               LINE QUALITY

  Type:          Read-only

  Format:        AT [cmds] S78? [cmds]

  Description:   Displays the line quality of the current connection.

  Note:          This command is not valid in PEP mode.

                          LOCAL SERIAL PORT SPEED

  Type:              Register

  Format:            AT [cmds] S51=n [cmds]

  Description:       Selects the speed at which the modem communicates
                     with the host computer.

      Command                              Function

       S51=0         Set speed to 300bps.

       S51=1         Set speed to 1200bps.

       S51=2         Set speed to 2400bps.

       S51=3         Set speed to 4800bps.

       S51=4         Set speed to 9600bps.

       S51=5         Set speed to 19.2Kbps.

      S51=255        Auto-detect speed from received "A" or "a"
                     character.

                             LOCK SERIAL PORT

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S66=n [cmds]

  Description:   Sets operation of serial port speed.

    Command                              Function

     S66=0       Serial speed follows connect speed.

     S66=1       Serial speed locked.

                             PACKETS ACCEPTED

  Type:              Read-only

  Format:            AT [cmds] S75? [cmds]

  Description:       Displays the number of packets that the modem has
                     accepted without errors.

  Note:              This command is only valid in PEP mode.

                           PACKETS RETRANSMITTED

  Type:                   Read-only

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S74? [cmds]

  Description:            Displays the number of packets that the modem
                          has requested a retransmit for due to errors.

  Note:                   This command is only valid in PEP mode.

                           PEP NEGOTIATION TONES

  Type:              Register

  Format:            AT [cmds] S92=n [cmds]

  Description:       Selects when in the protocol negotiation sequence
                     the PEP tones are sent.

      Command                              Function

       S92=0         Send PEP tones at beginning of negotiation sequence.

       S92=1         Send PEP tones at end of negotiation sequence.

                             PRODUCT ID NUMBER

  Type:           Register

  Format:         AT [cmds] S49=n [cmds]

  Description:    Selects what the modem will report as its product ID
                  number.

     Command                             Function

      S49=0       Modem reports normal ID number.

      S49=1       Modem reports 123 as its ID number.

                             PROMPT CHARACTER

  Type:                   Register

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S59=n [cmds]

  Default:                0

  Range:                  0 - 255

  Unit:                   1 ASCII character

  Description:            Sets what character will be used as a prompt
                          when in command mode. If S59 is set to 0 then
                          no prompt will be given.

                            PROTOCOL SELECTION

  Type:             Register

  Format:           AT [cmds] S90=n [cmds]

  Description:      Selects which protocol will be used when making
                    1200bps connections.

      Command                             Function

       S90=0        Use Bell 212A.

       S90=1        Use V.22.

                              PROTOCOL/SPEED

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S50=n [cmds]

  Description:   Selects the protocol used for communications.

    Command                              Function

     S50=0        Auto-detect fastest common protocol.

     S50=1        Use Bell 103.

     S50=2        Use Bell 212A or V.22.

     S50=3        Use V.22bis.

    S50=255       Use PEP.

                           REMOTE CONFIGURATION

  Type:                  Immediate

  Format:                AT [cmds] %cmds

  Description:           Attempts to execute the command string following
                         the percent sign on the remote modem. If remote
                         configuration is disabled, the modem will give
                         no response; otherwise, it will respond OK.

                        REMOTE CONFIGURATION ENABLE

  Type:              Register

  Format:            AT [cmds] S45=n [cmds]

  Description:       Selects whether the modem will respond to remote
                     configuration commands.

      Command                              Function

       S45=0         Remote configuration disabled.

      S45=255        Remote configuration enabled.

                            REPORT INFORMATION

  Type:          Immediate

  Format:        AT [cmds] In [cmds]

  Description:   Displays information requested.

    Command                              Function

       I0        Reports modem model and revision.

       I1        Reports error code for the last executed test.

       I2        Reports the current connect mode.

       I3        Reports firmware revision.

       I4        Reports current connection statistics.

                               RESULT CODES

  Description:           Selects when result codes will be reported.

        Command                              Function

           Q0            All result codes will be reported.

           Q1            Only remote result codes will be reported.

           Q2            Only local result codes will be reported.

           Q3            No result codes will be reported.

           Q4            All remote result codes will be reported; local
                         result codes will only be reported if an ATD or
                         ATA command was entered.

           Q5            Local result codes will only be reported if an
                         ATD or ATA command was entered.

           Q6            All remote result codes will be reported; local
                         result codes will only be reported if the local
                         modem Is originating.

           Q7            Local result codes will only be reported if the
                         local modem Is originating.

                                  RETRAIN

  Type:          Immediate

  Format:        AT [cmds] &Rn [cmds]

  Description:   Initiates a retrain or a re-negotiation of features.

    Command                              Function

      &R0         Force retrain.

      &R1         Force re-negotiation of features.

                                SOFT RESET

  Type:                Immediate

  Format:              AT [cmds] &En [cmds]

  Description:         Restores modem profiles previously saved in
                       non-volatile RAM using the &W command.

                          STORE TELEPHONE NUMBER

  Type:                  Configuration

  Format:                AT [cmds] Nn=<#>\xxxx\ [cmds]

  Description:           Stores the indicated telephone number at memory
                         location n. The string xxxx between the
                         backslashes sets an optional name for that
                         stored number.

  Note:                  If additional commands are to be given after
                         this command, the backslashes must be used even
                         if there is no string between them.

                        TRANSFER PROTOCOL SELECTION

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S111=n [cmds]

  Description:   Selects which transfer protocol the should use.

    Command                              Function

     S111=0       No protocol will be used.

    S111=10       Kermit with no parity enabled.

    S111=11       Kermit with odd parity enabled.

    S111=12       Kermit with even parity enabled.

    S111=13       Kermit with MARK parity enabled.

    S111=14       Kermit with SPACE parity enabled.

    S111=20       XModem and YModem enabled.

    S111=30       UUCP G protocol enabled.

    S111=255      Use protocol specified by remote modem.

                                VOICE MODE

  Type:                  Immdeiate

  Format:                AT [cmds] G [cmds]

  Description:           Commands the modem to break the data connection
                         and go on-hook so that the line may be used for
                         voice mode. If the telephones handset is picked
                         up, the call will not be disconnected.

                               XOFF REISSUE

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S65=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will reissue XOFF
                         characters if the DTE continues to transmit
                         after an XOFF.

        Command                              Function

         S65=0            Modem will not reissue XOFF characters.

         S65=1            Modem will reissue XOFF characters.
