                           ENHANCED MODE COMMAND

  Description:           The command immediately following the ~
                         character will be executed as an enhanced mode
                         command. No other commands on the command line
                         will be affected.

                           ANSWER/ORIGINATE MODE

  Description:           Selects whether the modem answers and originates

                              ASYNC/SYNC MODE

  Description:          Selects the operating mode of the modem.

        Command                              Function

        S150=0           Modem will operate in asynchronous mode.

        S150=2           Modem will operate in synchronous mode. The
                         RS-232 secondary transmit/receive pair may be
                         used to connect a command terminal to enter
                         commands and receive result codes.

        S150=3           Modem will operate in asynchronous mode will in
                         command mode, and synchronous while in connect
                         mode.

                               AUTO-CONNECT

  Type:                  Register

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will attempt to
                         connect automatically when no carrier is
                         detected even when no call has been made or
                         received.

        Command                              Function

         S101=0          Modem does not attempt to auto-connect.

         S101=1          Modem attempts to connect in answer mode every
                         20 seconds.

         S101=2          Modem attempts to connect in originate mode
                         every 20 seconds.

         S101=3          Modem attempts to connect in answer mode
                         immediately after carrier is lost, then pauses
                         20 seconds before retrying.

         S101=4          Modem attempts to connect in originate mode
                         immediately after carrier is lost, then pauses
                         20 seconds before retrying.

                                BREAK TYPE

  Type:                 Register

  Description:          Configures the modems reaction to a break
                        signal.

        Command                              Function

         S54=0           Online command mode enabled, break not sent to
                         remote modem.

         S54=3           Modem sends break in sequence when in data mode,
                         and immediately when in command mode.

         S54=4           Break signal ignored.

                                 CD SIGNAL

  Type:                  Register

  Description:           Controls the behaviour of the CD signal.

        Command                              Function

         S131=0          CD forced high.

         S131=1          CD normal.

         S131=2          CD is brought high when modem is ready in
                         command mode or is ready to accept data.

         S131=3          CD is brought high when modem is ready in
                         command mode or is ready to accept incoming
                         data. When modem disconnects, DSR is brought low
                         for time specified by S47.

         S131=4          CD follows the inverse of CTS.

                               CLOCK SOURCE

  Description:      Selects where the modem derives the clock used in
                    synchronous modes.

                               CONNECT MODE

  Description:        Selects the type of MNP mode connection that the
                      modem will attempt to make.

                                CTS SIGNAL

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S67=n [cmds]

  Description:           Controls the behaviour of the CTS signal.

        Command                              Function

         S67=0            CTS is forced high.

         S67=1            CTS follows RTS. When RTS goes high, there is a
                          200 mS delay before CTS follows.

         S67=2            CTS follows RTS. When RTS goes high, there is a
                          delay specified by S26 before CTS follows.

                             DATA COMPRESSION

  Description:      Selects whether the modem will attempt to use MNP
                    data compression.

     Command                              Function

      S96=0         Data compression disabled.

      S96=1         Data compression enabled.

                                   DIAL

  Type:                  Immediate

  Description:           Dials the telephone number indicated according
                         to any modifiers included in the string.

  Note:                  Any combination of modifiers can be used to
                         produce the desired dial functions in sequence.

        Command                              Function

           DP            Pulse dialing enabled.

           DR            Answer mode enabled; originate mode disabled
                         following handshake initiation.

          DNn            Dial stored telephone number n.

           DT            Tone dialing enabled.

           DW            Dialing resumed following dial tone detection.

           D,            Dialing paused for amount of time specified in
                         S8 register.

           D!            Flash function initiated. Modem commanded to go
                         off-hook for specified time before returning
                         on-hook.

           D;            Modem returned to idle state after dialing. The
                         semicolon can only be placed at the end of the
                         dial command.

          D\x\           Dials the stored telephone number with
                         description x.

                              DIAL INTERRUPT

                          DSR DELAY ON DISCONNECT

  Description:   Sets the time that DSR is forced low after disconnect.

                                DSR SIGNAL

  Type:                  Register

  Description:           Controls the behaviour of the DSR signal.

         S130=0           DSR is forced high.

         S130=1           DSR is brought high when an answer tone is sent
                          or received.

         S130=2           DSR is brought high when modem is ready in
                          command mode or is ready to accept data.

         S130=3           DSR is brought high when modem is ready in
                          command mode or is ready to accept data. When
                          modem disconnects, DSR is brought low for time
                          specified by S47.

         S130=4           DSR is brought high when modem goes off hook.

         S130=5           DSR follows remote carrier.

         S130=6           If modem is off line and DTR goes high, DSR
                          will be brought high. If DTR is high and a
                          connection is made, DSR will be brought high.
                          If DTR goes low or carrier is lost, DSR will be
                          brought low.

                                DTR DIALING

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S104=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will auto-dial the
                         first stored number on DTR signal changes.

        Command                              Function

         S104=0          DTR dialing disabled.

         S104=1          Modem auto-dials stored number specified by the
                         current configuration on low-to-high DTR change.

         S104=3          Modem auto-dials stored number specified by the
                         current configuration when SW2 is pressed.

         S104=4          When DTR goes high, the modem will connect in
                         answer mode if the value stored in register S1
                         is greater than that stored in S0. Otherwise, it
                         will connect in originate mode.

                                DTR SIGNAL

  Type:               Register

  Description:        Controls the modems response to the DTR signal.

        S52=0         Modem assumes DTR is forced high.

  Format:                AT [cmds] Nn=<#>\xxxx\ [cmds]

  Description:           Stores the indicated telephone number at memory
                         location n. The string xxxx between the
                         backslashes sets an optional name for that
                         stored number.

  Note:                  If additional commands are to be given after
                         this command, the backslashes must be used even
                         if there is no string between them.

                             TALK/DATA SWITCH

  Type:          Register

  Format:        AT [cmds] S105=n [cmds]

  Description:   Controls the operation of SW2.

    Command                              Function

     S105=0       Talk/Data switch disabled.

     S105=1       Talk/Data switch enabled.

     S105=2       Talk/Data switch enabled when modem is on hook.

                               USER PROFILE

  Type:                 Register

  Format:               AT [cmds] S255=n [cmds]

  Description:          Sets which user profile will be used as the
                        default.

       Command                              Function

        S255=0          Default profile set by SW3.

        S255=1          Modem will load profile 0 by default. Auto-dial
                        functions use first stored number.

        S255=2          Modem will load profile 1 by default. Auto-dial
                        functions use second stored number.

                          V.32 ANSWER MODE TIMER

  Type:                   Register

  Format:                 AT [cmds] S93=n [cmds]

  Default:                8

  Range:                  3 - 255

  Unit:                   .1 second

  Description:            Sets the amount of time that, when in answer
                          mode, the modem will wait for a V.32 originate
                          sequence before dropping down to the next
                          slowest protocol.

                                VOICE MODE

  Type:                  Immdeiate

  Format:                AT [cmds] G [cmds]

  Description:           Commands the modem to break the data connection
                         and go on-hook so that the line may be used for
                         voice mode. If the telephones handset is picked
                         up, the call will not be disconnected.

                               XOFF REISSUE

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S65=n [cmds]

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will reissue XOFF
                         characters if the DTE continues to transmit
                         after an XOFF.

        Command                              Function

         S65=0            Modem will not reissue XOFF characters.

         S65=1            Modem will reissue XOFF characters.

                               XON HANDLING

  Type:                  Register

  Format:                AT [cmds] S69=n [cmds]

  Description:           Sets how the modem processes XON characters
                         coming from the DTE.

        Command                              Function

         S69=0            XON character is trapped by modem.

         S69=1            XON character is passed to remote modem.

         S69=2            XON character trapped by modem if it is in XOFF
                          state; otherwise, it is passed to remote modem.
