  Type:            Configuration

  Format:          AT [cmds] Bn [cmds]

  Description:     Selects the communication protocol for low-speed data
                   calls.

     Command                              Protocol

        B0         Modem will use ITU-T V.22 at 1200bps or 600bps and
                   V.21 at 300bps.

        B1         Modem will use Bell 212A at 1200bps and 103A at
                   300bps.

        B2         Modem will use ITU-T V.23 at 1200/75bps.

        B3         Modem will use ITU-T V.23 at 75/1200bps.

        B4         Modem will use ITU-T V.23 at 600/75bps.

        B5         Modem will use ITU-T V.23 at 75/600bps.

                            DISPLAY INFORMATION

  Description:   Displays information requested about the modem.

       I0        Displays manufacturer and model information.

       I1        Displays ROM checksum.

       I2        Tests and reports ROM checksum.

       I5        Displays version of DSP chip.

       I6        Displays DSP checksum.

       I7        Displays release date of firmware.

       I8        Displays frequency of the controller clock.

       I9        Displays sync frequency of the DSP chip.

                               MNP10EC MODE

  Description:           Selects whether the modem will attempt to use
                         MNP10EC mode during the handshaking sequence.

        Command                              Function

         -SEC=0           MNP10EC handshaking disabled unless a V.34
                          connection is attempted via a cellular line.

         -SEC=1           MNP10EC handshaking enabled.

                               RESULT CODES

  Description:   Enables modem to send result codes to the DTE.

       Q0        Result codes enabled.

       Q1        Result codes disabled.

       Q2        Result codes enabled in originate mode only.

                              TRELLIS CODING

  Type:          Configuration

  Format:        AT [cmds] &Un [cmds]

  Description:   Selects whether the modem will use trellis coding.

    Command                              Function

      &U0         Trellis coding enabled.

      &U1         Trellis coding disabled.
