                            AUTO-MODE DETECTION

  Type:                  Configuration

  Description:           Selects various options for the automatic
                         detection and negotiation of protocols during
                         the handshake process if the modem is
                         communicating with a remote modem of dissimilar
                         speed.

  Description:           Stores telephone number n for the caller ID
                         function. &Z4=? displays the stored telephone
                         number.

                       STORE MULTISUBSCRIBER NUMBER

  Type:                  Configuration

  Format:                AT [cmds] &Z5=n (phone # & modifiers)

  Description:           Stores own telephone number n for the MSN. &Z5=?
                         Displays the stored multisubscriber number.

                          STORE SUBADDRESS NUMBER

  Type:                  Configuration

  Format:                AT [cmds] &Z6=n (subaddress field)

  Description:           Stores subaddress field with a maximum of four
                         numbers. &Z5=? displays the stored subaddress
                         field.

                              TEI DEFINITION

  Range:           00-63, 99

  Unit:            ASCII

  Description:     Sets TEI to a point to point value. 99 causes TEI to
                   be variable.
