                 Microsoft Word 5.0 & 5.5 Display Drivers

The high resolution Microsoft Word driver included with your
SuperX VGA board supports both high resolution text and graphics.
When using a Microsoft Mouse with this driver, make sure your mouse driver
version level is 7.0 or above.

To install the high resolution driver:

1. If you have not already done so, install Microsoft Word on your
computer. When asked for a screen display type, select IBM Video
    Graphics Array (VGA).

2. Run the install program (install.exe) on the diskette included with
the SuperX VGA, and choose the option for the Microsoft Word drivers.

** To use the new drivers they must be installed into the same directory
   as Word.

3. The install program copies two drivers:
        - screen8.vid for 800x600 resolution
        - screen.vid for 1024x768 resolution

The driver that you wish to use must be named screen.vid. When a file
is renamed this, it overwrites the existing display driver. If you
wish to save the original driver, you should either rename the original
screen.vid with another name such as screen.old or copy the file to a
    backup diskette.

4. The new driver is now installed, simply run Microsoft Word as you
normally would. To view and change screen resolutions, select OPTIONS,
move the cursor to display mode, and press [F1]. Select the desired
    screen resoultion.

5. A sub-menu will appear listing choices supported by the SuperX VGA text
    driver. Select the desired resolution.
