Warning this is the last process of a period. All reports must be printed and correct!

What it does:

1. Resets the new and changed employee flags. Disabling the Summary report new employee information. (Run all reports and send datafiles before attempting to Close the Period).

2. Moves the Period to the next semi-monthly period.

3. Moves hours posted to a history file. This will Keep the main hours file to a reasonable size. I do retain the last 2 periods in the current file.

4. Does misc. housekeeping such as Packing/Reindex files
