 1. Introduction :
 *****************

RAILWAYS can be run in the following VESA-SVGA modes :
       - 800x600 16 colours
       - 1024x768 16 colours
       - 1280x1024 16 colours (may not work with all video cards)

Default mode is VGA, but you can choose the mode you want in the
configuration file named RLW-US.CFG. (See section VI. of README.TXT)
SVGA modes are available for VESA compatible video cards.

 2. Configuration :
 ******************

RAILWAYS is a DOS-based program. Nevertheless, it can be launched in
Win3.1 and Win95 either from a DOS session or from the
file-manager/desktop. Read your Windows manual for further information.
A DOS mouse-driver must be loaded before running RLW.
     Edit RLW-US.CFG (RAILWAYS configuration file).
Change the "Graphics Mode" field to "Vesa800", "Vesa1024" or "Vesa1280".
Run RAILWAYS (RLW.EXE or RLW86.EXE). The mouse hand-shape should
appear after the first presentation screen and move around the screen.
     If not, something wrong happened.

     Note :
With some video cards, you may have to use UNIVBE graphics driver.
This driver is available on many FTP hosts, or in some game packages.
You can find a version of this driver at this address :
       ftp://ftp.eis.enac.dgac.fr/pub/Railways in univbeXX.zip.
