[ Serial Port Loopback Plug Information ]ͻ
Loopback plugs are used to test a UART for proper operation.
You can only use these loopback plugs with Serial Ports.
There are three kinds of Serial Port connectors, a 9 pin
      (DB 9), a 10 Pin Stake, and a 25 Pin (DB 25) Pin connector.
To construct a loopback cable, you need to follow the wiring
diagrams below. 9 Pin connectors and 25 Pin connectors are
the most common. (Applies to 8250 and 16550 UARTs used in PCs)

        9 pin (DB 9) 10 Pin (Stake) 25 Pin (DB 25)

** Using the QuikUPS Manifest System **
(User needs to know UPS Manual Shipping procedures and documents.)

Use F1(Online Help) at each section until you get the feel of the system.
Make some dummy records in "Today's Manifest" and compute, label, and post
them thru to print a manifest from "UPS History". When you are finished:
ZAP the UPS.DBF, using [7] "Misc Functions" "ZAP" to empty the database.

Consignee Name, Address, Weight, UPS ShipType, etc., are Shipping Records.
  (One Record per Package required...)
("Record" is like a filecard. "Field" is an Item: Date, Invoice#, etc.)
Names, Addresses are Imported from the Invoice Module or added by Editing.
(Records must have a Weight and Zipcode to be computed.)
Compute each Record, Select the UPS ShipType and Options, for Pkg. Charges.
(Print Labels for each Package as needed)
(Use "Split" to multiply (copy) any record to match Package Count.)

After ALL Records have been Computed in "Today's Manifest", use "Post" to
add UPS Manifest Book Page Number to the records, saved to "UPS History".
Many Postings each day are Permitted, but only one UPS Manifest per day.
When Manifest is complete for the day, Print Manifest, and Log the Totals
to the UPS Computer Manifest Book Page Number to be shipped.
