MicroHof Code v1.00 DOS Readme

INTRODUCTION:
MicroHof Code was made to help us decode messages we were given as
part of a game for our tenth grade history class. It's kind of a neat little
program that can teach you the basics of message encryption/decryption as the
technology existed during World War II. Encryption technology has remained
much the same since that time. Look in the program's help system for more
information.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
   * Windows (any version)                 >or<
DOS (any of the more recent versions)
   * A mouse with Microsoft compatible driver installed (you don't need to
worry about the driver under Windows 9x+)

INSTALLATION:
You may or may not remember the good old DOS days. Back then,
installing (and it was called installing, not setting up) something meant
unzipping it. With MicroHof Code, this holds true today. You may
wish to create a folder to store the program and your saved files in,
however. Here are the suggested installation instructions (unless otherwise
noted, type these commands at a system (DOS, Windows) prompt:

        CD\<the folder where you downloaded MHCODE.ZIP> <ENTER>
        MD C:\MHCODE <ENTER>
        PKUNZIP MHCODE.ZIP C:\MHCODE <ENTER>

To run the program, you can type:

        CD\MHCODE <ENTER>
        MHCODE <ENTER>

You could also create a Windows shortcut for it. To uninstall the program,
type:

        DELTREE MHCODE <ENTER>

If you are confused about how to get to a system prompt or how to create a
shortcut, consult your Windows/DOS program documentation.

KNOWN ISSUES:

        * There are no known issues with this program, other than a steep
learning curve--look at the program's help system for more
          information about using MHCODE.

RELEASE HISTORY:
