CONFIGURABLE DOS SHELL
----------------------
If you do not wish to use the standard DOS Shell, you can configure Seeker
to use an alternative.
1) Create a file named COMMAND in the Seeker\CONFIG directory.
2) On Line 1 of this file place the name of your DOS Command processor
eg... COMMAND.COM (this is the default)
3) On line 2 type in the Auto close switch.
   ( COMMAND.COM uses \C as it's auto close switch )
For example to use the standard COMMAND.COM you should have:
COMMAND.COM
\C
(If you're using COMMAND.COM there is no need to create the COMMAND file)

2. Clicking on the PATH DISPLAY BOX while holding the CTRL key will prompt
you for startup directories to load.
USE DISPLAYED - The currently displayed directories in both List Boxes
will be the directories initially loaded when SEEKER is

COMMAND BUTTONS
---------------
SBYTE
SByte will allow you to recurse through directories adding file sizes for
those files that match a particular search string. The search performed is
identical to a FUZZY search. ie..If a filename contains the search string,
it is selected, otherwise it is ignored.
DIR
Dir will re-read the directory displayed in it's List Box
------------------------

COMMAND SWITCHES
----------------
ERROR OVERRIDE ' ~ '
When an external program completes, Seeker checks the exit status of the
program when it has completed. If the program does not exit cleanly,
Seeker Commander will advise you: 'Error or Abnormal Exit' and pause.
Unfortunately there are quite a few programs out there that do not exit
legally. In effect these programs exit as though there has been an error,
even though there was no error within the program.
If you launch an external program that generates a 'false' error, you can
override the error checking (and consequently macro halting) by using
the error override switch. By appending ~ to the command switches for your
button, Seeker will ignore any error generated by that button and continue.
It should be remebered however, that if a REAL error is encountered when
launching that button, it will also be ignored.

HOME ' ! '
When a program is attached to a button and launched, the currently active
List Box becomes the current directory. This enables you to quickly load
files from that directory from within the launched program. Many programs
however, need to be launched from their own directory. This ensures that
they can load any additional files that they require (eg..help files,
preference files etc..).
For this reason the additional command switch ! has been added.
By adding the ! switch, the launched programs home directory will become
the current directory.
For example:
Assuming the currently active List Box is C:\SEEKER....
Button Command = C:\GAMES\MYGAME.EXE#L
This will launch MYGAME.EXE but the current directory will be C:\SEEKER.
So MYGAME may have trouble finding any data files that it needs.
Button Command = C:\GAMES\MYGAME.EXE#L!
This will change to the C:\GAMES directory before MYGAME.EXE is launched. By
making C:\GAMES the current directory any data files that MYGAME.EXE requires
will be found.

In order to ensure a program runs correctly immediately, the ! switch has
been added when a RAPID BUTTON INSERTION is performed. Therefore, instead
of having the default command switches #A&L appended to the inserted command
(as described in the manual), the new default command switches are #A&L!

SCREEN SAVER
------------
The screen saver for SEEKER is now configurable. SEEKER comes complete with
4 screen savers. These animated screen savers are SIMPLE examples of the
user configurable screen savers that can be used. SEEKER will randomly select
a screen saver to use when the specified blanking time is reached. If you
want to use a specific screen saver then rename the required screen saver to
SEEKER\CONFIG\BLANK1 and move the other blankers to a different directory.

It should be noted that if the Screen Saver Editor is used, that the size,
number of animation frames and number of colours for these savers is limited
only by your PC's capabilities. In addition, the SSE will also allow the
launching of any external program when your specified blanking time is reached
Using the SSE you can create your own customized screen saver or even create
screen savers for others! Animated Company Logos, Pictures, even Sounds!

------------------------
SOUND SUPPORT
-------------
SEEKER now supports VOC sound files. The inbuilt sound player will play VOC
files by hilighting the file and selecting the SPLAY button.
The Alarm Editor can play user specified sounds at user specified times
(in addition to any other events).
* NOTE: You must have a SOUNDBLASTER or compatible sound card installed *
Press s or S to Enable/Disable Sound
