                              Introduction

It is common knowledge that the first cylinder of a floppy diskette
is used as the system area, which contains important information about
the diskette. If the system area is defective (SAD), you will have no way
to access the diskette even if all the remaining cylinders are
good. Unfortunately, this situation is rather common especially in the
case of 1.4 inch floppies.

Track0 is a TSR written for making use of track-0-defective
floppies. It tries to relocate the system area if it is bad. It marks
the SAD diskettes as TSF -- a special format used by track0. All these
jobs is transparent to the user. With Track0 installed, you would be
able to format, read and write SAD diskettes as if you were using a
normal diskette.

Track0 works at the BIOS level, which makes it compatible with most
of the programs. However, due to the nature of track0, it does be
incompatible with certain programs, especially those controll floppy
drives directly, and those make nonstandard format of floppies. On these
occasions, you can try to turn off the AUTO-FORMAT feature of Track0. If
this does not help, disable the whole program then.

                           Features

o Make use of system area defective diskettes transparently.
The users can use SAD and none SAD floppies mixingly and transparently.
o Auto Format. Transparently makes none TSF diskettes to be TSF diskettes
during the process of formatting if necessary. This feature enables the
user to format the SAD diskettes normally.
o Takes only 2K memory.
o Compatible with other programs at the BIOS level.

Syntax is: Track0 [options]
  /?: Help"
  /a+|-: Turn on|off auto format
