                                 LIST of FILES

                                   FMGR3.EXE
                                  README.TXT

This filemanager is DOS based but will work from Windows. I have tried
a variety of Filemanagers over the years, but they all seem to suffer
from one or other problems. Some do not sort alphabetical, or allow
more than one file to be tagged, or allow change of another Drive, or
display few items per screen, or try to access other Editors that do
not run, etc. This little effort is fast, mouse controlled, and
providing all the above files, along with your DOS or Windows system
files are accessible in your PATH, should allow use of all the options
displayed. If you have ever tried my earlier versions of FSNOOP or
UNZIP, you will find these included. You can select any directory shown
with left click, or Tag one or more files. If you fail to tag any
files, or select TAGALL with some options, you will be asked to enter a
search pattern such as *.EXE etc. Likewise this cannot display more
than 250 files/directories, if you log onto a directory holding more,
you will be asked to limit the listing by entering a search pattern. I
am hopeing one day to include an option to Zip and Unzip files. Here is
a list of the current options:-

COPY allows one or more files to be copied, to where you enter.
MOVE copies files to where you enter, then deletes the originals.
DELETE removes one or more files, after confirmation.
ATTRIB allows you to set the READ/WRITE status of any files shown.
RENAME allows the name of a file to be changed.
MEMORY activates DOS MEM to display the state of the Memory RAM.
SCAN displays the text data of any files, ignoring unreadable opcodes.
RUN allows any .EXE, .COM or .BAT to be executed.
LIST displays the contents of a text file, beware of non ASCII files!
EDIT uses DOS EDIT to allow you to amend, or create new text file.
DELDER uses DOS DELTREE to remove a directory and all its contents.
NEWDIR will create a new directory at the current directory.
TAGALL tags all files, which can be untagged with RESET or reselection.
SHELL allows temporary access to DOS, terminated by entering Exit.
SEARCH will find any file/s anywhere on a drive.
FORMAT uses DOS FORMAT on suitable 1.4M, 1.2M, 720K or 360K disks.
CHKDSK runs DOS CHKDSK to determine the state of any floppy/hard disk.
FILES lists full details of all files in the current directory.
RESET scans and lists the current directory again.
DRIVES restarts the program to allows another drive to be logged onto.

                   Comments and suggestions always welcome.
