    --------------------------------------------------------
    Maintenance Release v1.3 Mar 95
    ------------------------

We now have a new name - Synaptek Software.

    Added Features:

Addition of a repetative chime when prompting for
        diskettes during backup operations.

"Working" prompt now persists through list load and
cross match operation to more acurately reflect system
        operation.

    Corrections:

V1.3 corrects an export memory fault.

This fault manifests itself as a memory exhausted fault
when exporting a list that splits across diskettes. This
is a non destructive fault caused due to insufficient
memory available to quick format the new diskette.

Additional testing has been done on the following OS's

	Windows	NT 3.5
	Windows 95 (preliminary)

    --------------------------------------------------------
    Maintenance Release v1.2 Aug 94
    ------------------------
    Corrections:

V1.2 corrects a DOS buffers - cache coherency fault.

This fault manifests itself on single diskette backups
were the target diskette has been accessed by DOS prior to
backup. The result is diskette FAT corruption which is
variable in severity depending on the sectors DOS had
    buffered prior to backup.

Testing has been done on the following OS's

	PC-DOS 3.30
        MS-DOS 4.01
        MS-DOS 5.0
        MS-DOS 6.2

	OS/2 2.1
        Windows 3.0
	Windows 3.1
        Windows for Workgroups 3.11
	Windows	NT 3.1

    --------------------------------------------------------
    Shareware Release v1.1 Jun 94
    ------------------------
V1.1 is the first general Shareware release of SafeGard.

    --------------------------------------------------------
Users experiencing snow problems on CGA monitors should
start SafeGard once using the undocumented /cga command line
parameter to correct the problem. You will notice a
reduction in screen refresh rates as a result of this
    operation.

Note: /ega removes the effects of /cga

    Performance Improvements
    -------------------------
Performance Improvements may be obtained by configuring
your system with a RAMDRIVE and the changing the TEMP
file path to point to the RAMDRIVE within the <OPTIONS>
    <SETUP> dialog.

    Files created by SafeGard
    -------------------------

subdirectory off of your safegard directory to hold the
      list information.

    - To view these directories be sure that <View><Options>
      <System_Files> is selected.

    - Within this directory there are 5 index files which must
