                                  Description

RadioTelephone Tutor is a drill program for the RadioTelphone License test.
It Drills one on Marine Radio Operator Permit and or General Radiotelephone
Operator License question pools, it creates sample tests, Drills on missed
questions, Can take entire question pools in straight or random order.
Includes graphic figures.

Computers have a reputation for speeding things up. This includes studying for
General Radiotelephone Operator License tests. This program is very helpful in
memorizing items needed for the test. Often times, test questions are worded in
ways that fool you. By using this program you will not be thrown by them.

RadioTelephone Tutor drills you on questions you don't know instead of the
questions you do know the answers to.

What you do is to take every question in the element topics. You can do
this a little at a time; because the computer remembers which questions you
have taken. Then You choose missed questions for the computer to drill you in
questions you have missed.

Then you take the sample test which represents what you would be given in a
real test. If you flunk the test you can then go thru every question you have
missed.

                           Windows 9x Installation

Unzip the program to "C:\RadioTelephone Tutor" folder.

Copy the "RadioTelephone Tutor" shortcut to either your desktop or to
"Windows\StartMenu\Programs" folder.

To use a different Font.

Right Click on the RadioTelephone Tutor ShortCut. Click on properties.
Change "C:TUTOR.EXE" to "C:TUTORE.EXE Font:"FontName"

Example "C:Tutor.exe Font:Readable"

This sets the program to Readable font of the Tutor fonts folder.

                            MSDOS Installation

Unzip the program to a directory of your choice.

To Run type "TUTOR"

"TUTOR" VGA

This uses vga mode only.

There are two ways to use different fonts with RadioTelephone Tutor.

1. Add Font:"FontName" TO command

    Example "Tutor Font:Readable"
This tells the program to Readable font in the Tutor fonts directory

2. Set the Environmental varable TUTORFONT to the font you want. The
font can be anywhere on your harddrive. Set it from the command line or
set the environmental varable in your AUTOEXEC.BAT.

   Example

   "SET TUTORFONT=C:\DOS\FONTS\READABLE.F16"

This Tells Tutor that the font to use is C:\DOS\FONTS\READABLE.F16

If you don't tell Tutor to use a font it will use the default font
   Win.F16 in Tutor's Fonts Directory.

                             Font Capabilities

I have added font capabilites to RadioTelephone Tutor. This means if you
don't like the font used in RadioTelephone Tutor you can tell the progam to
use a differt font. See Installation details for more info. There are many
fonts available in the fonts directory.

I have also include a viewfont program so you can see what the fonts look
like. Most of the fonts is just showing off the program. But if you have
trouble reading the monitor;try using the READABLE font.
