                               "The Bed Fund"
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~
       So what's it all about..?  Having been a Bed-Bound paraplegic for
       13 years now since an accident whilst playing with my two children
       then aged 18 months and 30 months respectively, I cannot get the
       funding I need to obtain a Craftmatic Automated Bed..
       My needs are not the norm, and the standard household bed is
       not intended to take the wear and tear I require..
       It is such a pity in this day and age that the Disabled (Me included)
       are constantly hearing about cut-backs. One area of the Derby Social
       Services would have no problem supplying the much needed bed, whilst
       the area I live in - which is only three miles away, but a different
       office - cannot supply the bed so I have been left to my own devices.
       It was pointed out to me a short time ago that I have unknowingly
       offended some people by not allowing them to pay me for help or
       services I have provided. It has been my way for years now to put
       back into the hobby, the support I have received, and when I have
       built a Computer System or repaired some piece of equipment, insisted
       that I did not want any payment. This does not sit well with someone
       who prefers to pay his own way.. for this I am truely sorry.
       This is where "The Bed Fund" came into being.. as a way of allowing
       a donation, not to myself directly, but to fulfill a need. I have
       therefore set up a building society account in the name of
       "The Bed Fund" which currently stands at 176.75
       In order to acquire funds I have undertaken the Sole UK Distribution
       of Amsoft's "World of Ham Radio" C.D. 1997.. priced at 20 inclusive
       of recorded delivery. I have also been appointed as a columnist for
       Ham Radio Today reviewing software/hardware and answering computer
       queries. All proceeds are going towards the fund.
       Please Note: If you are approached for donations on my behalf call
       the Police. I have NOT given any permission to collect funds on my
       behalf. If you are in ANY doubt call the Police.
