                                   Cancel

The CANCEL command enables you to DELETE <C007> a message for which you
have specified deferred or repeated delivery.

If the message was posted for deferred delivery (that is, with SEND <C030>
options such as 'ON' a particular date, or 'AFTER' a particular date), you
may CANCEL it - - but only up to the date and time it is meant to be
delivered. Once that message has been delivered, it cannot be cancelled.

If the message was posted for repeated delivery (that is with SEND <C030>
options such as 'EVERY WEEK' or EVERY 2 DAYS'), you may CANCEL it - -
whether or not it has ever been delivered.

When you enter the CANCEL command, ENVOY 100 will prompt you for the
system message number of the message (the 'SMN'). When you enter the SMN
(always in the format ABCD-1234-5678), ENVOY 100 will post a message for
you that contains your CANCEL request. When the cancellation is
complete, you will receive a message from 'DELIVERY' indicating that your
message has been cancelled.
