                                    Edit

The EDIT Command enables you to CREATE and EDIT messages. When used alone
without options, EDIT enables you to enter new text into your workspace.
When used together with the name of a previously SAVED <C028> message, EDIT
places a copy of that message into your workspace. You can then EDIT the
message.

EDIT Indicates you wish to CREATE text to be SAVED in
                    your SAVED area.

EDIT [messagename] Enables you to use Envoy 100 editing commands to
modify the text of a previously SAVED workspace.

Editing Commands include:

COPY DELETE INSERT LIST MODIFY NUMBER TRANSFER
<C006> <C007> <C015> <C016> <C019> <C020> <C033>

                              CONTROL COMMANDS
                                   <A001>

Other editing Commands:

EDIT TO To EDIT the TO: Line of your workspace
EDIT CC To EDIT the CC: Line of your workspace
EDIT BCC To EDIT the BCC: Line of your workspace
EDIT SUBJECT To EDIT the SUBJECT: Line of your workspace
EDIT TEXT To return to the TEXT portion of your workspace

You can use any of the Envoy 100 editing Commands while still in the
COMPOSE mode by typing the Command on a line by itself, preceded by a
period:

          .COPY .LIST
          .DELETE .MODIFY
          .EDIT .NUMBER
          .INSERT .TRANSFER

Each time you complete an editing command, the system will prompt you to
continue: That is, continue entering text where you left off.
