This is the README file for danish keyboard layout for DESQview/X.

Unlike 'classical' DESQview, keyboard and display handling in DV/X
does not use the DOS Codepage. Instead, it uses a translation table
placed in the \DVX\SERVER directory, and pointed to by an entry in the
\DVX\DVX.CFG configuration file.

Installation
------------
To install this keyboard layout, do the following:

1) Copy the file KBDDK.TXT to Your \DVX\SERVER directory.

2) Modify the file \DVX\DVX.CFG: The line that reads
      'keyboard kbdus.txt' (or something similar)
   should be
      'keyboard kbddk.txt'

The next time You start DV/X, it will have a danish keyboard layout.

One thing does not work: The display of the danish letter o-slash (oe).
This is due to an oversight in the font manager - instead, it will
display as a cent-symbol for oe, and a Yen sign for OE. I have not (yet)
found a way to alter the display of this character.

A note on memory usage.
-----------------------
Because DV/X handles all keyboard translation by itself, it is not
necessary to load neither DISPLAY.SYS (in CONFIG.SYS) nor KEYB.COM
(in AUTOEXEC.BAT). If You are working exclusively in DV/X, You can
save approximately 14 Kb of memory by removing these from Your startup-
files. Of course, this means that You will have an american keyboard
layout outside of DV/X.
