                          ABOUT THIS MANUAL
                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 This EXECUTABLE MANUAL for accessing the internet through e-mail
is a menu driven file with print search and save features.  The
manual contains several other manuals for accessing the internet
by email, along with email mailing list, programs you can get
to aid you in using email.
 This manual is "FREEWARE" to you.  After I received most of
the information I found myself losing the files or could not
find the information I needed, so I placed these in the EM_AI.EXE
file.
 Most of all of the EXECUTABLE MANUALS start with EM_XXXX.EXE
and then the manuals name so that if you have others you want they
can be placed in the same DIR together.  I have found even thow this
is a dos program it runs very nice in windows 95 were you can cut
and paste information from it into e-mail.
 This is v4.0 many more will follow as new information is added.
The v4 stands for the second year that this manual has been out
and the XX means the month it was released.  There are 12 issues
each year. If you would like placed on my mailing list to receive
a notice of an update, email me with your address and request to
be placed on my email list.  I don't send this manual out automatic,
unless YOU request it.
 If you have information in this area that you have learned, and
would like to pass it along it's more then welcome.  Most of the
information in this manual came by that same way, or by my need to
tell someone "how to do it".
                 INSTALLING THE EM_AI MANUAL
                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  To install, unzip the file em_aixxx.zip in a directory of
your choice. From within that directory type EM_AI and press
[ENTER].
  When ever you update with the latest version just copy over
the old one to save your disk space.

         DISTRIBUTING THE "EXECUTABLE MANUAL EM_AI" SERIES
         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With the ever-increasing number of computers, Bulletin Board Systems
(BBS),  commercial online  services, and  especially  the  Internet,
almost anyone  with a computer and modem can become a self-publisher
with  global distribution.  With  very little  effort and expense, I
have personally  found it possible  to distribute the "EM_AI" Manual
worldwide.
In the  course of one year, then, through various mediums I received
over 2567 requests from  people in 31 states of the  U.S.A., and
12 countries.  Countries to  which the  EM_AI Manual has been sent
include:
* Germany      * Netherlands      * Mexico       * Malaysia
* Ukraine      * Italy (Roma)     * China        * Canada
* Iran         * (Mumbai, India)  * Argentina    * Bulgaria Shoumen
* Cuba
Another method of distribution is uploading the program to anonymous
FTP  sites.  An  "ftp site"  is usually  a  university  or  company
computer  where  anyone  from  around  the world  can log  on via the
Internet  and download files.  By  uploading the program to one site,
(ftp.simtel.net/SimTel/, it is copied  by more  than  100 ftp sites
around  the world.  The program is  currently available on such sites
in:
* Argentina   * Australia   * Austria      * Belgium     * Bulgaria
* Brazil      * Canada      * Chile        * China       * Czech Rep.
* England     * Finland     * France       * Germany     * Greece
* Hong Kong   * Ireland     * Israel       * Italy       * Japan
* Korea       * Lavtia      * Lithuania    * Mexico      * Netherlands
* New Zealand * Norway      * Poland       * Portugal    * Romania
* Singapore   * Slovakia    * Slovenia     * So. Africa  * Spain
* Sweden      * Switzerland * Taiwan       * Thailand    * Turkey
 Just wanted to say that it took me soooooo long to collect all
these files situated in different places in the world, especially
if you use off-line only for this. Now they are all together in a
very convinient view.
It's great!
We are going to teach our students to work with computers. Your
EM-AI programs will help them (both teachers and students) much.
Thanks.
Good luck.
