PURPOSE:
Appoint is an enhanced appointment calendar that runs under both
Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. It combines a month-at-a-glance calendar with
a daily appointment book. Appointments are graphically indicated on the
calendar with little blue lines. You can create pop-up appointment
reminders, with an optional alarm, anywhere from 0 to 10 minutes before
your appointment.

USAGE:
To install Appoint, copy the two program files, APPOINT.EXE and
APPOINT.HLP, to a subdirectory on your hard disk. It need not be in your
path. Then create an icon for Appoint on your desktop. Since Appoint must
be running to notify you of appointments, you may want to place Appoint
in your Startup folder and configure it to launch minimized.

When you first open Appoint, you'll see the monthly calendar.
To view the appointment book, click on the Alarm Clock button in the
upper left corner or press Enter. When you enter appointments in the
appointment book, they appear in the calendar as little blue lines on
the left or right side of the box for the day. The column on the left
displays morning appointments; the column on the right displays after-
noon appointments. The placement of the line in the column is relative
to the time of day.

To turn on an alarm, switch to the appointment book and click
on the column to the left of the time, or press F2. When the appointed
time arrives (or shortly before, depending on your configuration) a
dialog box will remind you of that appointment. If you've checked
Reminder Alarm in the Configuration dialog box, an alarm will also
sound. Once you type an appointment description next to its starting
time, you can block out additional time for it by positioning the cur-
sor in the starting time box, pressing the left mouse button, dragging
the mouse to the ending time, and releasing the mouse button.
