There shouldn't be a lot of problems with this.If you have any version of DOS 6.0(or higher)
or WINDOWS,it should run fine.Just unzip it(using winzip, pkzip or compatible decompression
utility)to a temporary folder on your hard-or floppy-drive,and run BEGIN at the DOS
command prompt or from windows program manager(files, run). After running BEGIN.COM,
you can delete this temporary folder.
Running the program:
After first running BACKER,you should have a new directory named c:\backer(assuming your
hard-drive is C;if it isn't,let me know and I'll forward you a copy with the appropriate drive
letters).Within this main BACKER directory, you should also have two subdirectories-BACKUP
(containing the critical system files that were backed-up),and REPORT(containing a report
for each of the four files that were backed-up and the differences between the backed-up
and original files.Note:These files should match at first, since the program has been
recently run).
Now let's say you run a program,it messes up or you just want to uninstall it.This is where
BACKER comes in.There's no need to really run begin.com again,as this is really only a
set-up routine. But BACKER gives you the option of backing up again or,in the case that
you want to see the differences that have happened to your system files, the option to run
the file comparison utility.Simply skip the back-up routine, and jump straight to the
next option.Just follow the prompts, and you'll do great!

NOTE: This is the first program that I've ever written,so if it seems
kind of corny or something-for you "advancded" types-please forgive me!
