                           Technology Database System
This is a shareware version of this program and may be freely distributed.

TECHMENU is a simple database program which can be used in school sites
to track computers, monitors, printers, software, and network information. It
also includes a pre-loaded database of educational software titles which can
be searched. The program has been designed with simplicity in mind and
therefore does not have a great many bells and whistles. It can be run on
virtually any IBM or compatible computer. The databases can be search using a
variety of search words (depending on which database you are using.)

TECHMENU was intended to run under DOS but will run under windows although
no icons have been included. All files must reside in the same directory in
order for the program to work. A program is included which will allow you to
browse or print the manual. Type README at the DOS prompt.

In order to start the program simply type TECHMENU at the DOS prompt and
press ENTER (or you may run it from Windows Program Manager or double click on
TECHMENU.EXE in Windows File Manager.) You will be presented with an opening
credit screen and the inevitable shareware message. Eventually, you may press
any key to continue past this. You will now be prompted for a password. This
is done to prevent someone merely playing around from altering database
information. The password is set to TECH and, in this version of the software,
cannot be changed.
