Description :
ToonTalk is a new way of programming computers - from the inside of an
animated game-like world.

The central idea is that a user (typically a child) can master ToonTalk
and create a very wide range of programs by understanding computational
ideas in terms of concrete analogs. The child learns to train robots,
to give birds messages to deliver, to load up trucks to construct new
houses, to use animated tools to manipulate things, and so on. And in
doing so, the child is really programming.

ToonTalk also includes a tutorial game that teaches programming. Many
narrated demos are included as well.

This trial version expires 30 days after installation. Some features
have been left out in order to squeeze the system down to about 8
megabytes but the trial version is useable. ToonTalk can be
un-installed by a single button click.

ToonTalk was created by Ken Kahn who received his Ph.D. in computer
science from MIT in 1979. Since then he has been doing programming
language research at various universities and at Xerox PARC.
