Winlatin.zip contains the new version (4.6) of Lingua Latina for

New Features in 4.5
* ALT-F4 now exits the program.

* Fixed and expanded the Delay Factor subroutine to allow yet faster
machines (o tempora!) to run the program.

* Added a "Save Current Settings" feature (in the Options pulldown menu).
The program no longer saves options automatically at exit (an action which
caused networked drives to spit out surly error messages). Instead, users
must now save options on an ad hoc basis.

* Fixed a bug which prevented European users from registering the
program permanently.

* Allows users to turn the background screen on or off.

New Features in 4.4a
* No new features, really, but a corrected version of 4.4 which fixes
a serious bug which inadvertently slipped through:

* pronoun and noun tests (in sequential mode) refused to advance
to the next item, eventhough the correct answer was entered.

New Features in 4.4
* recovers from a sad and disastrous hard-drive crash the features
added in 4.2

* Quiz Options. The user may now decide which conjugations and tenses
to include in the quiz section. These options are saved in the
winlatin.ini file for the next session.

New Features in 4.3

* Corrects a number of errors in vowel lengths

New Features in 4.2

* Adds a feature providing random ordering

* Allows user to select two different case orders: N-G-D-A-Ab or
N-A-G-D-Ab.

New Features in 4.1:

* A Verb Quiz portion which selects forms at random and tests the
user's knowledge of tense, number, gender, and mood.

* Multi-lingual support. Users can now select three different
languages for the prompts, buttons, and messages in Lingua Latina:
English, German, and Latin. Further language support is planned for
future releases.

* Correction of several errors, chief among them the conflation of
fourth conjugation and third conjugation (-io) verbs.

* * * F R E E * * *

With this version, the
program returns to freeware--thanks to the many loyal supporters who
registered their past versions, enabling me to make the program free
again. I couldn't have done it without them.

From now on, my only request from users of the program is that they
send me a postcard, perhaps in Latin, or depicting some droll scene.
