MarkXY  is a graphics-to-ASCII extraction / conversion utility

If you never had the follwing problem, you probably don't need MarkXY:
You have a plot only in a graphics (like bitmap or .PCX) format, and
need to recover the numerical data plotted. The problem comes up with
graphs scanned from papers or with pictures pasted in word processor
files with no original spreadsheet file available.

MarkXY lets you mark data points in the picture and saves the pixel
data in one or more text files. These may be imported in data packages
and converted back to the original units, analyzed, processed etc.
