INTRODUCTION
============
Welcome to CrossMagic! We originally wrote the DOS version of this
program and released it as shareware, but many people asked us for a
Windows version, so here it is!

CrossMagic allows you to enter and maintain details of all your
threads, charts and projects. It'll print reports on what threads
you've run out of and need to buy again, which charts you can make
with your existing stock of floss, what floss you need to buy to
make a particular chart, inventory lists, projects completed and
still in progress, it'll even let you enter a search text and will
list all the charts you own that pertain to that subject.
CrossMagic comes with a complete catalogue of DMC & Anchor
Embrodiery Floss, Balger/Krenik Filament, DMC Flower Thread, Balger
Ribbon. Evenweave convertion is catered for, and there is
comprehensive on-line help for all options.

INSTALLATION
============
CrossMagic requires Windows 3.1 or later (ie Windows 95, Windows 98,
etc), about 8MB of disk space, a printer (if you want to print
reports, they can also be viewed on the screen), and 8MB of RAM.

If you are installing from a floppy disk: Simply run the SETUP
program from Disk #1 and follow the instructions.

If you are installing from a ZIP file that was downloaded from an
online service: Create a directory to place the setup files in and
unzip the ZIP file into it. Run the SETUP program that was unzipped
and follow the instructions. When finished you may delete the
temporary directory that you unzipped CrossMagic for Windows into.

The SETUP program will create a CrossMagic for Windows item on your
Programs list.

RUNNING
=======
You will find that CrossMagic is very easy and intuitive to use - it
works like most other Windows programs that you've used. The F1 key
may be used to view a help window at any point in the program.
