1. WHAT IS THE WEB SAFE COLOR CHART?
The Web Safe Color Chart is a free tool to help web designers choose their colors. It enables you to experiment with different combinations of text and background colors, while ensuring that you stay within the 216 websafe colors. Various options allow you to change the size and appearance of the color chart, and you can save your preferences for the next time you use the program. A help file is included.

2. FILE LIST
With this download of WSCC, you should have the following files (listed by file extension):
  blank.gif
  logo.gif
  screenshot.gif
  blank.html
  colorchart.html
  control.html
  error.html
  help.html
  options.html
  wait.html
  wscc.html
	colorchart.js
	common.js
  license.txt
  readme.txt
If you are missing any files, please contact the author.

3. HOW TO INSTALL WSCC
Save the ZIP file to your hard disk, and extract the files to a single directory - all the files must be in the same directory for the program to run properly. To launch the program, open the file wscc.html in your web browser.

4. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The Web Safe Color Chart requires a browser which is capable of displaying frames and which can run JavaScript 1.1. In practice, that means Netscape Navigator 3 or above, Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or above, or another equivalent browser. If your browser cannot run WSCC, we recommend that you download the latest version of Navigator (http://home.netscape.com/download/index.html) or Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/).

5. FEEDBACK AND REGISTRATION
WSCC is freeware, so you do not have to pay a license fee to use it (see the license.txt file for more details). However, you can register with the author in order to be kept informed of updates. You are also encouraged to send any comments, criticism, etc. you might have - see the feedback.html page.

Thank you for choosing and using the Web Safe Color Chart.
