1. About program
================
This program is designed for the observation and analysis of 
dynamic phenomena, captured by the digital images.
These phenomena become very often in different engineers' 
applications, such as the observation of effects in 
hydrodynamic and aerodynamic, different areas of chemical 
engineering, different areas of process technologies, etc.
Common to all these applications is that their features are 
expressed by significant visual effects, so that they can be 
observed using image analysis technology in time.
The DYNASCAN is the tool which helps the researchers to 
quantify these effects in the time domain. For example, it is 
possible to generate the time series from characteristic of 
images and to analyse these time series in different ways. 
Also, it is possible to make other image transformations that 
observed effects can be more visible and that they can be more 
acceptable for further quantification of images.
The results of this analysis can be used for the description 
of characteristic of processes, from which images have been 
derived.
For this purpose, the program supports the generation and work 
with file series which consists of a high number of images. 
File series is group of files which describes the observed 
processes by digital images.
The files in file series are numbered by the last 4 characters 
in the filename, so that maximal 4 characters are used for 
name and the last 4 characters are used for index, for 
example: TEST0001.BMP, TEST0002.BMP, etc.
There are available functions for automatic numbering of 
files, transformations of complete file series, etc. 
Also, it is possible to measure different parameters manually, 
based on user selected scale.

The program supports two types of video frame grabbers, 
PCVIDEO-I and PCVIDEO-II, manufactured by Motion Technologies 
Inc. However, you can also analyse the images which are 
captured by other video frame grabbers if these images are 
stored in BMP image format.

This program is a shareware product. Each user has 30 days 
evaluation period from date of first installation (see section 
8).

6. Computer requirement
=======================
Program needs Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher operating 
system.
Suggested computer is Pentium with minimal 8 Mb RAM. However,
you can also run this program on 486 machines. About disk 
space: if you work with file series it is normal that you have 
a few hundred megabytes free space on disk. The program needs 
around 3 Mb free disk space for its running.

7. Warning
==========
This is a beta version of program. If there is any unknown bug 
in the program, the author has not any responsibility for 
eventually problems on your computer caused by this program.

8. Registration
===============
This program is a shareware product. You can free use and test 
it for a time period of 30 days from date of your first 
installation. After this period the program will run normally, 
but if you need this product you must register it formally.
Registration fee is $39.00 US/copy.
