Thanks for trying the BOWLING ASSISTANT for Windows.

This program is shareware. Feel free to evaluate it as long as you like to be sure that it suits your needs and those of your league. If you like it and choose to use it for your league, you are required to register it. Registration details are provided in the file ORDER.FRM which is included in the compressed distribution file. You can fill in and complete this form by selecting Registration from the Help Menu and clicking on the Order Form button.

Full documentation is provided in the online help file BOWLASST.HLP. Also included in the help file is a tutorial. New users are encouraged to read and work through the tutorial. It will answer almost all of your questions and prepare you to use the program for your league without any problems.

The BOWLING ASSISTANT is a versatile, easy to operate bowling league record keeping program. With this program you can eliminate the hours spent each week manually updating your league records. After setting up your league with the program you will maintain accurate and detailed records by simply spending a few minutes each week entering the scores. As soon as the scores are entered the program takes care of all the record keeping details. In addition to a comprehensive weekly standing sheet, a variety of detailed reports and graphs can be printed at any time.

WINDOWS INSTALLATION

This program requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 or 95 to run. A DOS version of the program is available. Contact the author if you need the DOS version. For Windows 3.1 from the File menu in Program Manager or File Manager, choose Run. For Windows 95 from the Start Menu choose Run. The Run dialog box will appear. Enter the following Command Line and press the Enter key.

Follow the directions given by the Setup program. When the Setup program is done you will return to the Program Manager or File Manager for Windows 3.1 or the Desktop for Windows 95. A new Bowling Assistant group will be have been created by the setup program. With Windows 95 you will be able to start up the program from the Start menu. With Windows 3.1 you will be able to start up the program from the Bowling Assistant group. Start up the program and read the shareware announcement. You will want to examine the help file first to get familiar with the program before you try to use it for your league. Press F1 to bring up the help file.
