        	         ============

      __________________________________________________
                         WARNING:

Before reinstalling RunNotes, it is recommended
that you make a back-up of the "Runnotes.mdb"
file, from the installation directory (probably
       C:\RUNNOTES).

In case of accidental loss of data, you can
restore the original file by copying it back
       to the installation directory.

1. Purpose
-----------
RunNotes is a program developed for runners who want to keep
a log of their runs. Basically, RunNotes has three modules:
Session Planning, Session Recording, and Statistics. Session
Planning allows the user to make a training program by building
a single week and then replicating it several times with increase
criteria. In the Session Recording module, the user can describe
every run in terms of distance, duration, average heart rate,
environmental and physical conditions, injuries, equipment used
and personal notes. The Statistics module shows all data the user
has recorded, ordered by any field and filtered by user-customized
 criteria.

3. Installation
---------------

To instalate RunNotes, unzip the .zip file to a temporary folder, then run
 Setup.exe.

RunNotes requires MS Windows 3.x or MS Windows 95, 256-color monitor,
7 MB of hard disk space, and 8 MB of RAM.

If you have never installed RunNotes before, and you have
downloaded this version from Simtel, then you will probably
need to download some more files from

 ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win3/dll/vb40016.zip

After downloading it, unzip it to a temporary folder and
run the program Setup.exe. Then run the Setup.exe of RunNotes.

Unfortunately, Simtel is one of very few free software
repositories, and it does not accept programs with redundant
files, because of a severe disk space limitation at some
mirror sites. So, it is not possible anymore to download a
copy of RunNotes with all files needed from Simtel. The author
regrets this inconvenience, and hopes that it will not be an
 obstacle to use the program.

4. Program and distribution status
-----------------------------------
RunNotes is freeware, and it can be freely distributed,
provided no part of it is removed or corrupted.

See the License Agreement topic on the online help for
 additional information.

5. Troubleshooting
-------------------------
The problem most likely to occur is the lack of files, after
the installation. In this case, please refer to item (3).

If you experience other problems, please refer to item (6).
