TheCall (C) 1995-97 PathWays Data Systems

Welcome to TheCall - the easiest way to communicate in Windows!

================================================================
**NOTE** If you obtained this version of TheCall from Compuserve
or a BBS, you will need to aquire VBRUN300.DLL. Many users will
already have this file, but if you don't, it is not hard to find.
VBRUN300.DLL should be located in your C:\windows\system
directory. If you do not have this file, you can get it from
almost any BBS or from our Internet web site at:

http://www.pdsys.com

Please read below for details of bug fixes and feature additions.
Please note that you can always get the latest version of TheCall
program, help file and manual (in MS Word format) via our
Internet WWW site.

New Features in Version 1.51

This version of TheCall is mainly a maintenance release, but does include a few
new features. Also, make note of our new contact inormation located in the help file
and be sure to check out our web site for new products.
- Fixed a bug that could cause TheCall to GPF.
- Fixed a bug that would cause improperly formatted printing on some systems.
- Made a slight change to the appearance of the toolbar for technical reasons.
- TheCall now does a much better job of resizing itself to fit a 640 x 480 screen.
- We have made an attempt to make TheCall use the proper system colors under
Windows 95 and NT 4.0. This is not an easy task with the 16 bit version. Although TheCall
will work fine under Windows 95, we recommend that you use the 32 bit version
under Windows 95 and Windows NT if you want things to look perfect with some
colour schemes.

New Features in Version 1.50

This version of TheCall includes many exciting new features. It
can be installed directly over all earlier versions of TheCall -
the new installation will preserve your previous configuration
and dialing directory.

================================================================

TheCall is a Microsoft Windows communications program that has
been developed by BBS Operators (SysOps) with some specific goals
in mind. It has been our objective at PathWays Data Systems to
listen to people who call BBS's every day and to incorporate the
feature set that they wanted and found lacking in many of today's
communications programs. It has been our objective to develop a
program that would be so simple to use that a rookie would have
no problem installing and calling their first BBS, yet powerful
enough to satisfy the demands of the Power User. We feel that we
have reached this objective in TheCall Version 1.5. Affordable,
powerful and easy to use.

Here is a quick glimpse of some of TheCall's features.

* Drag and drop file uploads from the Windows File Manager.
* Host Mode for registered users.
* Quick access to your off-line mail reader.
* ANSI-BBS, VT-100, VT-52 and TTY terminal emulation
* Auto Zmodem as well as a standard suite of protocols.
* Hot Buttons that will enable you to save time by typing often
  used information only once.
* Automated Scripting language.
* Over 400 pre-configured modem settings to choose from.
* The ability to easily manage and print your Dialing Directory data.
* A very simple setup procedure so even new users will be able
  to get things right the first time.
* An easy to use tabbed interface.
* All this and much much more at a very affordable price!!
