AV 1999 -- Build 16k -- 17 August 1999
Copyright (c) 1999 Kevin Wonus

Before you begin:

If you have AV 1998 installed, uninstall it
AND delete the HTML directory (usually found
	in C:\Program Files\AV98\HTML). AV 1999 may
not publish the purified KJV text if you skip
this step. Contact the author of this program
if you require additional assistance and/or
	clarification (bible@bitsmart.com).

If you have saved studies, rename the AV98
directory (mentioned above to just AV).

1)	Install Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE)
4.01 or above. Version 4.0 has been reported
to work, but there has been no compatibility
testing by the program author. Version 5.0 of
Internet Explorer has undergone limited testing
by the program author, and also works. (There
may be problems with Windows98 until you uprade
	to Microsoft Internet Explorer 5).

AV 1999 uses Internet Explorer to display HTML
	formatted bible text.

	(The Microsoft Internet Explorer installation
will attempt to restart your computer. Please
	follow Microsoft's instructions completely
prior to installing AV 1999. AV 1999 is not
designed to run without MSIE 4.x or higher)

2)	Execute the "AV 1999" Installation Program:
		AV-1999.exe
		or
		setup.exe	(for Diskette Edition)

3)	Execute "AV 1999" from the Win95 start menu
		AV Bible-->AV 1999

(The first execution takes a couple of minutes
as it publishes the entire KJV Bible in HTML
format. Subsequent executions do not exhibit
	this delay)

4)	See "Integration-with-MS-Word.txt" or the
help tab if you would like AV 1999 integrated
into MS-Word (This feature requires MS-Word).

	New! New! New!
AV 1999 now works with Microsoft Word 2000!
Sorry Word97 is still not supported (nor is
	such support currently planned).

Contact the program author if you would be
interested in WordPerfect 8.0 support. If there
is sufficient interest, it could come.

As it is (starting in build 12), AV 1999 can now
publish the Bible as a series of nicely formatted
WordPerfect documents. These documents can even
be read into Microsoft Word, but they look best
	in WordPerfect.

It should be noted that these WordPerfect
documents can be produced even if you do not have
a copy of WordPerfect. AV 1999 provides this
feature when you right-click on the Bible
	directory tree of AV 1999.

5)	Send email to bible@bitsmart.com if you have
	questions. Check out:
	http://www.bible.advocate.net

That site will have the latest AV 1999 program
developments. If that site were to be shut down,
	then try the web alias:
	http://www.bitsmart.com/bible
