                              Electric Estimator 2.1

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Electric Estimator is a freely distributable, shareware program.

Electric Estimator is a Windows database program written for
Electrical Contractors. The program provides an intuitive user-
interface that allows contractors to quickly produce estimates from
large, multi-home construction jobs to small remodeling jobs. Two
categories of Items are included from which to create estimates:
Standard and Special. There are nine (9) Standard Item Categories of
fixtures which include: Ceiling (Clg), Bracket (Bkt), Receptacle (Rec),
3 way outlet (3W), 4 way outlet (4W), Special Purpose Ground Fault (SP),
Television (TV) and Phone (PH). Standard Items are common to various
rooms in dwellings such as Kitchens, Master Baths, and Halls. Special
Items include Electric Ranges, Air Conditioning and Security Systems,
etc. There are no limitations on how many Standard or Special Items can
be entered and saved for estimates. One time Labor and/or Overhead costs
can be included. Up to four (4) unique price schedules can be used for
Standard and Special Items. The same (or different) price schedules can
be used for either Standard or Special Items on each Estimate. Estimates
can be printed out with the Contractor's business artwork (logo) for
professional looking documents. Several reports are included that allow
contractors to review installed quantities, display Price Schedules and
make Cost vs. Income comparisons. A Database Utility is included for
	backup and repair.

Electric Estimator is Windows 95/98/NT compatible and is Y2K compliant.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
If Electric Estimator was downloaded from the Internet, Disk Distributor
or a Bulletin Board service, use the following installation procedure:

NOTE:	Depending on the source of the download, MSVBVM60.DLL might or
might not be included within the EE21.ZIP file. Before Electric
Estimator can be successfully installed, a set of VB6 runtime
files including the MSVBVM60.DLL should be placed in the
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and registered. If MSVBVM60.DLL is
not included in the ZIP file, another download will be required.

There are many Internet sites that carry the VB6 runtime files
as a stand alone ZIP file or within a package:

			1. Search on "Visual Basic"
			2. Download "Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime Module"

			1. Search the Win95/98 archive "VB6 Runtime"
			2. Download "VB6 Runtime Modules"

	AFTER the MSVBVM60.DLL is INSTALLED:
Unzip the Electric Estimator file (i.e. EE21.ZIP).

	For Win95/98/NT:
From Start, select Settings - Control Panel - Add/Remove New Programs
and browse to find the SETUP.EXE from the directory in which
EE21.ZIP was uncompressed. Click Next and then Finish.
