Introduction
************
Thank you for using "Track 'Em." "Track 'Em" is a computerized "In/Out"
board for the workplace. User's whereabouts can now be easily displayed
on any network workstation. The need to contact the receptionist, when
leaving the office, is no longer necessary since this can be done from
your computer. An intuitive interface color-codes user's names to
indicate their status (in, busy, or out). Since "Track 'Em" runs on any
Novell, Windows for Workgroups, or Windows NT network, any network
workstation can view the current, real-time, status of any user.
"Track 'Em" eliminates those annoying "manhunts" when looking for a
fellow employee who may have slipped out for lunch or left the office.
Receptionists will also see an increase in efficiency since they can see
if an employee is in, or available, by simply looking at their computer
instead of taking the time to page an employee.

Installation
************
"Track 'Em" is a network application which places a database file on
the network file server and then uses a client application to access
the shared information from the database. To accommodate this you must
run the setup program to install the database file to a shared directory
on your network. Once the database file has been installed you need to
use the setup program located in the "Client Setup" directory, located
in the directory in which you installed the database file. Use the
following steps to guide you through the setup process. When you have
completed the installation process, please refer to the "Program
Overview" section of the on-line help for a brief explanation of the
"Track 'Em" interface.

A. CD-ROM

1. Put the "Track 'Em" CD in your CD-ROM drive.
2. Click "Start" on the Windows taskbar, then click "Run."
3. In the "Open" box, type in the letter of your CD-ROM drive
   followed by ":\Setup.exe" (e.g. "D:\Setup.exe", if your CD-ROM
   drive was on drive "D."
4. The install program will now copy the database file to the location
you specified during the installation process. When it is complete
you need to run the "Setup.exe" file that was copied to the "Client
Setup" directory, located in the same directory where you installed the
database file. This is the main installation file that you will use
to put "Track 'Em" on network workstations.

B. Zip File (TrackEm.zip)

1. Unzip the file to a temporary directory.
2. Follow steps 2-4 of the CD-ROM installation instructions, but use the
path where the unzipped files are for step 3.
