Important Instructions for Win Convert 5.2

 Visual Basic Runtime

Win Convert was written in Visual Basic 6.0. It therefore requires that the Visual Basic runtime libraries be installed before attempting to install Win Convert. These libraries are not provided with Win Convert for several reasons. One being some users may already have the Visual
Basic runtime libraries on their machines. By not including these file users do not have to download the extra one megabyte in file size that the Visual Basic runtime libraries would require. Another reason is that these runtimes are readily available from various FTP sites where the most recent versions can be found.

For more information, check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base article. You can also download the VB6 Runtime files from this page.

Updating from a previous version of Win Convert.

I recommend you uninstall the previous version first, but save your current Conversion Database to a different name or directory first if you wish to keep it. Please read the release notes for fixes included in this release.
