If you do not know what to enter, you can leave it blank.

    Time Zone.

Set this field to the time zone of the place where you are.

"dokodemo" converts the "Date" header of the message to your
		local time using this setting.

		Example: +900 (JST)

    Timeout Time.

Set the timeout time for the communication with the mail server.
Timeout time error occurs when there is no incomming data from the
server in the set amount of time.

		Unit: 1/1000 second.

     Number of Message Headers.

This setting limits the number of message headers to retrieve once.
Too large of a value causes the retrieval of message headers (from
		the server) to take longer.

   (b) Settings for Receiving Messages.

     Name

The name identifies this setting from the other settings.
As a result each name must be unique.

     POP Server Name

This is POP server name of your account.

When receiving messages, the program must establish a connection with
the mail server using this name, as a result this is very important.
If you do not know the name for your server, please ask your mail server
		administrator.

        Example: mail.mnet.ne.jp

     Account

        This is your mail account.

The most commont POP port number is 110.
If you can not connect to mail server using this port number,
please ask your mail server administrator.

   (c) Settings for posting messages.

     Name

The name identifies this setting from the other settings.
As a result each name must be unique.

     SMTP Server Name

This is the SMTP server name.

When posting messages, the program must establish a connection with the
mail server using this name, as a result this is very important.
If you do not know the name for your server, please ask your mail server
		administrator.

        Example: mail.mnet.ne.jp

     Your Name

        Your name.
This is the name that appears in the message header.

be sent. If you leave this blank, replies will be sent to the
e-mail address that you specified earlier.

      Default BCC

When you set this e-mail address, a copy of each message you post
will be sent to this e-mails address.

BCC means "Blind Carbon Copy." Because of this BCC addresses will
never appear in the message header.

BCC can be used to keep a copy of messages that you post.

      Signature

        Your signature.
This signature appears at the end of each message.

      Templates

You can set 3 templates, one each for posting, replying and
		forwarding.

These templates generate sentences, and automatically embed them
at the beginning of the message.

The method for defining templates is very easy. You simply embed
		escape characters in text.

		[Escape characters]

&D means the posted date of the referred to message.
&T means the posted time of the referred to message.
&S means the subject of the referred to message.
&F means the sender name of the referred to message.
&I means the Message-ID of the referred to message.

        Example:

        &D &T, &F wrote about "&S".

1998/05/07 07/21, AyanoAkira wrote about "dokodemo".

When checked, this option removes the mailing list name from
the Subject of a message which came from a mailing list.

Remove a MIME from the list.
            Default MIMEs can't be removed.

         Action

There are 3 actions: "Open," "Save," and "Prompt User."

"Open" Opens attachments using the associated program.
When the attachment is executable, this runs the
            		  attachment.

"Save" Saves the attachment to the disk.

"Prompt" Prompts the user to "Open or Save?"

         Application

When this setting is void and the "Action" is "Open,"
then attachments will be opened using the associated
program. Otherwise, attachments will be opened using
			the specified application.

     (f) Address Book

			"dokodemo" supports an address book.
You can register an unlimitted number of e-mail addresses
in the address book, and you can access the address book
			from the message editor.

 (5) Message List Window.

Messages on the local disk or on the mail server are shown
	 in this window.

     Operations:

     (a) Download

Retrieve messages from the mail server and put them on the local disk.

I recommend that you download only the important messages,
because this program runs off the floppy disk and messages are
      saved on the floppy disk.

Show the next batch of messages, if there are more.

     (d) Multiple Reply

Follow-up the all selected messages of header list by sending a reply
to the e-mail address specified in the "From," or "Reply-To," header.

 (6) Message Viewer

     Operations:

      (a) Reply

Follow-up a retrieved message by sending a reply to the e-mail
address specified in the "From," or "Reply-To," header.

      (b) Reply to All.

Follow-up a retrieved message by sending a reply to the e-mail
addresses specified in the "From," or "Reply-To," header AND
		the "To" and "Cc" headers.

        Remark:

The "To" header will probably include your e-mail address.
This means that you have to remove your e-mail address from the
list of posting addresses before posting the message.

But, there is a very convenient way!

When there is a "[my address]" folder in the address book
and your e-mail address is registered to the folder, "dokodemo"
automatically removes your e-mail address from the list of
		posting addresses.

        Attention:

The folder name must be "[my address]," "my address" is WRONG!
You must register only your e-mail address!
        For example "khf07113@mail.mnet.ne.jp" is correct,
        "Ayanoakira <khf07113@mail.mnet.ne.jp>" is wrong.

      (c) Forward

Forward the retrieved message to the specified e-mail address.

      (d) Download

Save the message shown on the viewer to the local disk, if it
        has not already been saved.

      (d) Next

Show the next message and if necessary retrieve the message
		from the mail server.

      (e) Prev.

		message from the mail server.
