This is the ReadMe.txt file for FuseMail Demo version.

FuseMail is a POP3/SMTP mail server specifically designed for home and
small office use. It is designed to allow users on a network to send and
receive email without the network being on line to the Internet at all
times. FuseMail will detect when an Internet connection is established
through a dial-up connection and spring into action. It can also be
configured to dial out, send/receive mail and (optionally) hang up again at
specified times. This helps to minimize on line time for those of us who
pay for Internet access by the hour.

Despite being intended for use with a network FuseMail also has uses for
individual users. It can greatly simplify collecting mail from multiple
email accounts. Using it's filter facility it is also eminently suitable
for multiple users sharing a single account. The scheduling facilities can
be used to collect your mail while you are away from your computer for
extended periods. This helps to prevent cache overflow at your ISP or email
account provider.

Version 2.4 corrects a bug which caused winsock related errors in
previous versions. It also has greatly improved handling of local
mail. FuseMail

The demo version of FuseMail has small restrictions, such as only three
mailboxes and five filters, but has NO time or usage limits. Even with
these limits FuseMail demo version wil be adequate for many, if not most,
home users. If the demo version meets your needs you are under no
obligation to purchase the licensed version.

FuseMail requires at least a 486 running Win95/98. There are no special
memory requirements, other than those required by Windows. Less than 1Mb of
disk space is required for the program itself, although more space is
required for the mailboxes. It's impossible to predict how much space the
mailboxes will require as there are far too many variables, such as how
many messages and how large they are.

To install FuseMail you will need to unzip the file you downloaded into a
temporary folder and run the FuseMail_Demo.exe file. This is a self
extracting installation program which will make the remainder of the
installation simplicity itself. For most users the default choices will
suffice.

The installation program will create it's own temporary folder and should
clean up completely after itself.

Included in the installation are two run-time files, which belong in your
Windows system folder. These two files will not be installed if newer files
of the same name are already present. The installer will perform these
checks and install the files if required.

Upon successful completion of the installation, which takes only seconds,
you will be given the opportunity to run FuseMail and/or read the ReadMe
file (a different one) included in the installation.
