1. OVERVIEW
===========
  (AEL) Aero Engine Lab 2.0 - is a modeling system for thermogas dynamic
processes in gas turbine engine and powerplants.
  (AEL) Aero Engine Lab 2.0 is applicable for structure synthesis and parametric
analysis of aero-engines and powerplants. This system includes independent
universal modules of heat engine's basic elements and unique calculation
algorithms of general gas turbine engine's units (compressor, combustion
chamber, turbine and others).
  At the basis of math models construction lies a principle of embedded
iteration cycles. It implements the physical explanation and universality of
processes of aero-engines with environment-varying work cycle.
  AEL resolves the following tasks:
- any-circle-engine math model construction;
- characteristics calculation (thrust versus r.p.m. curve, altitude-velocity
curve, dynamic performance);
- unsteady (transient) regime calculation.

   AEL ver. 2.0 REQUIRES Borland Database Engine (BDE) or full release
of Borland Delphi (c) installed on your computer.
   You can download Borland Database Engine free from Borland Delphi's site
or from our site as it's a redistributable software:

http://m-mod.hypermart.net/bde32.zip

AEL 2.0 requires Windows95/98/2000/NT

2. REGISTRATION
===============
   AEL ver. 2.0 is a shareware ($223 US). You must read and accept the terms
detailed in the license.txt file before you can use this software.
   Evaluation period is 30 days.
   An ordering information is provided in the file order.txt for the purpose
of registering this software.

AEL ver. 2.0 is maintained at the following internet address:

                     http://www.mechmodel.com
                     http://m-mod.hypermart.net/

               e-mail: support@mechmodel.com

where you can find the latest release and links to support and on-line
ordering sites.

Demo-version of AEL ver. 2.0 that you've downloaded is
feature-limited (you can not operate with all modules but only with a few ones).

You must register first to get a full version.

REGISTERED USERS WILL RECEIVE A FULL VERSION OF AEL (c) 2.0 IN APROX
48 HOURS AFTER REGISTRATION.

THE FULL VERSION OF AEL (c) allows you:

- to model any aero-engine circuits of any complexity;
- to solve both analysis and synthesis tasks;
- to construct complicated calculation principles;
- to make characteristics calculation (thrust versus r.p.m. curve,
altitude-velocity curve, dynamic performance);

3. INSTALLATION
================

Unzip all archive files into some directory and run exe-file.

If you have neither Borland Delphi (c) components nor full release
installed on your computer then you have to download Borland Delphi (c)
components free from our site as it's a redistributable software::

http://m-mod.hypermart.net/bde32.zip

- unzip bde32.zip file into some directory and run setup.exe;
- follow the installation procedure;
- after the installation is complete reboot your system;
- go to AEL directory and run exe-file.

4. HOW IT WORKS
================

- run exe-file;
- go to menu "File" -> "Open" and open .mds-file (mechanism models catalog)
from a \mod subdirectory;
- go to menu "Calculations" -> "Begin calculate" for the visualization of the
calculation process;

     Calculation modes:
           0  - calculation of the start point without visualization;
         1000 - calculation of the start point with visualization;
	   1  - characteristic calculation without visualization;
         1001 - characteristic calculation with visualization.

 You can change input parameters for all components and observe output
parameters after calculation. You can compute all thermogas dynamic
aero-engine's parameters.

_______________________IMPORTANT_____________________________________________
Any assembling circuit must include "Initial conditions" "Total results"
components.
_______________________IMPORTANT_____________________________________________

In unregistered version of AEL only 5 components (which are used as a
demonstration) are operational.
