Description:

ActiveXplorer is an advanced ActiveX analysis and management tool. ActiveXplorer lets you explore, manage and document ActiveX files installed on your computer. Using ActiveXplorer can help you solve installation problems, analyze file dependencies, or find missing files. ActiveXplorer allows you to peek inside ActiveX files and investigate their methods and properties, or to automatically generate full documentation from the files you (or others) have placed on your system.

ActiveXplorer main features:

* Supports ActiveX components (OCXs), DLL and EXE servers
* Safe removal misbehaved components from Registry (for when standard unregistration fails)
* Exports list to variety of file formats (Excel, comma-separated, plain text, HTML)
* Report generation
* Automatic cleaning of misbehaved components from the Registry
* Comparison of components to investigate version differences
* Easy instantiation of components in Internet Explorer
* Analysis of compiled files to view their methods and properties
* Generation of HTML Help documentation for compiled files
* Comparison ActiveX components sets between computers

Why you need ActiveXplorer:

1. Escape from DLL Hell. Solve installation problems, analyze file dependencies, find missing files, and register files correctly.
2. See inside ActiveX files. Analyze them. What methods and properties are in there?
3. Document ActiveX files. Automatically generate full documentation from the files on your system. List files and versions, and document their contents.

The system requirements for ActiveXplorer v3 are:

1. 12 MB of disk space (although this may vary, subject to the number of installed components)
2. At least 16 MB of memory (minimal requirement). For reasonable performance we recommend at least 32 MB on Windows 95/95/ME machines and a minimum of 64 MB on Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP machines.
3. Processor equivalent to a Pentium MMX 200 MHz (minimal requirement). For reasonable performance we recommend a processor at least comparable to a Celeron 300 MHz.
4. Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 runtimes (included in installation package).
5. Microsoft Windows Scripting Host 5.5 runtimes (included in installation package). NOTE: You must install Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or later to use Windows Scripting Host. WSH relies on the VBScript and JScript engines provided with Internet Explorer 3.0 or later. WSH is installed as part of the Windows 98 and Windows 2000 operating system family, and Internet Information Server 4.0.
