To Start SearchWin:
All Operating systems: Start Menu > Find / Search > Choose SearchWin from the list.
OR
IF IE version 5 or greater is installed: 
From an Explorer Window - choose View Menu > Toolbars > click SearchWin to place a check in front of it - SearchWin will be available as an Explorer Toolbar. Click the toolbar Icon to launch SearchWin.
OR
Start Menu > Programs > SearchWin Folder > choose SearchWin

Win9x only: From an Explorer window - Tools menu > Find > choose SearchWin


Description:
SearchWin is a Fast Windows Find File Utility that adds  "Search Engine" capability to the Windows File System. It provides greater power and flexibility than Windows native Find File Utility without the overhead of a database.


Purpose:
SearchWin allows multiple search terms that can be related with the standard Boolean operators of AND OR and NOT. If you use long descriptive file names, SearchWin can provide unequaled benefit and flexibility in helping you manage your files. SearchWin provides tools to manipulate the 'found files' list and the ability to print or save lists to a text or cvs file. Files found can be Dragged to another program or manipulated with the Windows Explorer Context Menus.


Cost:
This program is Shareware. Cost is USD $12.95. As Shareware, this program will stop functioning 30 days following installation.  The program may be registered by going to http://www.searchwin.net/ and going to the page for the software and clicking on "Purchase". Purchase is through an independent, secure & certified service provider. This program is the sole property of Dale Sampson, all rights reserved. Installation Requirements:
This software can be installed on Windows95 OSR2 (with Internet Explorer Ver 4 or greater), Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000 or XP.  It is not supported on earlier versions of Windows. Installation on NT/XP requires Administrative Privileges - the setup progam will terminate if the user doe not have them.



Installation:
1) Download swin10.zip from the download page.
2) Copy the zip file to a temporary directory & Unzip all files.
3) Double click Setup.exe & follow the on screen instructions. You can choose the Program installation Folder & Start Menu folder.  The default installation folder is \Program Files\SearchWin & the default Start Menu location is the Accessories Folder of  Start/Programs.

Program Removal:
1) Click Start/Settings/Control Panel.
2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs
3) Find SearchWin in the list and Click the Remove Button
4) Delete the SearchWin folder.

Removing this program will not remove the windows system files that were installed.
There are user created data files in the program folder that can optionally be deleted.
Some files may not be removed until Windows is restarted.
