Installation
============

The Recipe Library installation program decompresses and copies the necessary files to run the program to the appropriate directories on your hard disk.

From Floppy disk
----------------

If you are installing it from floppy disks, insert the diskette that is labelled "Disk 1" into your floppy disk drive. From Windows(TM) 95, click on the "Start" button, select "Run", type "A:SETUP", and click on "OK".

Self-extracting files - downloaded or received as part of upgrade kit
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The archive you received this file from requires that the file be in ZIP format, so you will need to unzip the file using a product like WinZip or PKUNZIP. Once you do this you will have a self-extracting file which will decompress itself as well as commence the installation process. The following example assumes you have downloaded and "unzipped" a file called 32fdlrl8.exe to the "C:\WINDOWS\TEMP" directory / folder. From Windows(TM) 95, click on the "Start" button, select "Run", type "C:WINDOWS\TEMP\32fdlrl8", and click on "OK".

After loading some initial files the "Welcome" screen will appear asking you to confirm that you wish to proceed with the installation. Click on "OK" to proceed. If you are unhappy with the default directory the installation program has selected you can modify it by clicking on the "Change Directory" button, otherwise click on the "Install" button to commence the Recipe Library Setup process. For a diskette installation you will be prompted to enter each of the remaining diskettes in turn when they are required.

If you encounter a message saying that the file being copied is older than an existing file answer yes to keeping the existing file. If you encounter a message saying that some of your system files are out of date and the system needs to re-boot, answer yes to continue. Remember to remove any diskettes from the floppy drive if you are performing an installation from diskette. Once the system has re-booted start the setup process again.
When the setup process has completed you will have a Program Group/Folder containing an icon/entry for; Recipe Library, Recipe Library Help, and Reorg (an application used to repair and compact the Recipe Library database).

You are now ready to use Recipe Library.
